Poor, brave Scout! We knew not thy name, but it will be remembered forever for the brave sacrifice made this day.
Titan avenged him and them promoted Mobility and moved back SE to heal. I think I'll send him home to live in comfortable retirement ... at least until the Statue has been built.
Rest of the turn was spent reducing our Production:
Cheddar doesn't need a border pop, so can start on the Workboat straight away; worker pair here will connect the Pigs next turn. Camembert is going for the pop and then will build the WB for the Fish (NNE). Stilton's borers pop at EoT, at which point the 2 Workers will move to the Marble and spend 2t connecting - this matches exactly with the Settler coming from Wensleydale (for Parmesan). Thane therefore will go into Gorgonzola, which has all its current infra needs and if we need a second Hunter we can promote the Scout moving through. *Note that it won't actually 1t the Warrior because of the reduction from +25% to +10%.
Cheddar also got us this:
So what does this tell us about his settling pattern:
Marble connected, but not Corn - interesting.
3x Clams - there are 2 down at the Southern choke point (a city there also gets the Furs); another one at Cheddar, but he doesn't have the Pigs connected. Maybe the 3rd at his island city?
Only 1 Cow - could be the same as us, or could be the NW; likely not one of the Eastern ones since he doesn't have Copper online (or does that only show up to trade after you have Bronze?)
Incense is not connected - that may indicate he hasn't settled NW, since the Road can easily be taken through it. (also no Fish implies no Camembert site)
Pearls is nice, and we should see that soon with Sailing next after Warfare.
Ale = Deruptus; looking at the recent spike in his GNP, I'm going to go out on a limb and say he finished that in the last couple of turns.
He's in City States, so popping borders is even more of an issue, so I expect his cities are closer together than mine. Of course we also know he's got the Island city and has settled South more than I have.
