WW38: The Story of the Stories

Sorry, Eeyore doesn't know to look for a watch since they don't have watches growing on trees in the Forest. (OOC - pindi didn't look at time stamps either). But still, was it a joke or wasn't it? Two and a half hours later it was still a joke and then some time later it wasn't. Or was it merely ... Actually I'll let you respond before offering possible answers.

The role play reasons were obviously a joke all along. The serious reason was also there in the back of my mind all along, but I didn't feel a need to articulate it before you asked me about it specifically.

The second post on the topic, (Sherlock Holmes already made a case...) was addressed to Meiz, because he came across as slightly laissez-faire and said one of the detectives would probably come up with something. I was trying to probe him a little to see if he was interested in actually using his vote to pressure anyone.

Jowy, to be brutally honest, the poetry is of varying quality (rhyming "through" with "enough" is a bit of a stretch), but I confess to giggling at "I will pop your post restriction flower". smile

If you're just restricted to poetry in general, haikus may be a way to ease the pain. (Or free verse, I guess.)

I Love the Capitalisation, Eeyore. You have more than just Grey Fluff in your head and no Mistake.

If what he claims is true, we clearly need to keep Jowy alive until the entire thread is posting in poetry. elephant
For now, Ichabod might want to speak up? I confess I'm at a loss as to where to head on D1 (or more lost than usual!).

Fun, perhaps, but I don't know if that is really ideal. Is your ability compulsive, Jowy? Sounds like you wanted to use it on Lewwyn but in terms of winning the game I'd prefer it if he (and everybody else, really) could speak freely.

Jowy is certainly entertaining, but his logic remain pernicious, however melodic it may be.

Meanwhile, while Holden playing truant is clearly a scum sign, his extended absence reads to me more like he may have succumbed to the Charm of Forlorn Encystment, and is therefore not responsible for his disappearance. It's not in Scumabod's character to lurk so hard. Fenn, have you played with Ichabod before?

I would be interested in hearing Lewwyn's response to my previous question before I move my vote though.

I played with Ichabod in WW35; I was sure he was town up until he outed himself as SK so I can't say I have a good understanding of his meta, such as whether he deliberately lurks as scum.

Be happy he is allowed to use English and not restricted to Finnish wink
I like Väinämöinen. too bad I only met Lemminkäinen when I travelled there.

Ichabods silence is bothering especially as he is usually not the lurking type.

Molach OTOH is a know hardcore-lurker especially if he is scum. So lets squeeze him a bit more. We might not get water out of stone but perhaps words out of Molach.

And stop beating about the bush here, I can see Zak trying to bushwhack me here with that faux-fun vote, but I am prepared to bring as peace offering a few bushels of paragraphs.

First paragraph: I find this using character name instead of player name makes this a lot harder to follow. So this is quite obviously a wolf ploy, to confuse honest players, steering them away from the hunt by making them remember tons of names. Novice posted a list of players' influence (that is player name) and then voted for a character name. "Having too many influential players lurking in the shadows won't do. George Smiley." So yeah, who is that again? What is George Smiley's lurking history like?

Second paragraph: Influence is a thing here, influential wolves are more dangerous and influential villagers need to stay sharp and break ties the right way. Be good to know for sure how trustworthy they are. Hear that, investigative PRs? Check out influential guys. First player-post in the game (Mol.3.1) talked about influence, then it was unheard of till novice's post (nov.78.4).

Third paragraph: Always fun when people keep making joke votes one day in... like Jowy here on Bob. You a scum trying to do the normal thing, lay a joke vote to fit in? Joke votes only first 16 hours, everyone knows this.

Fourth paragraph: Somewhat inspired by looking at that baron Harkonnen I decided to watch Dune (1984) last night, instead of rereading all the joke votes of last night. Post-movie, checking out "trivia" on imdb I read "The movie alludes strongly to Bible stories; such as, most strongly, the story of Moses." So there, baron Bob.

Fifth paragraph: I'll now reveal my power. I am immune. Immune to lynching, immune to nightkills. Generally immune. For what GM would be responsible for burning the Book frem whence my character came?
