Hmmm, that's an interesting and quite compelling theory by Mr. Holmes. I also keep thinking of Meiz' character as a barbarian - is that accurate? If so, is there some kind of link between you and the other barbarian?
@Molach. 19:00 Norwegian time is also what I calculated earlier.

You keep making these little minor errors that make me wonder if you're actually just skimming the thread.

Matt: yes they noted the content of Meiz's posts but not YOURS. Yes, Lewwyn's point, and not Gringr's. I have made a little mistake there (which is why that wasn't my main point and I'm going back to read Meiz's posts.
Gazglum: yes I was just thinking on that influence scores are random and therefore not really useful. On rereading I realise that if you think 2 people are wolves (or guessing) then its best to try and get the highest influence person out.
Matt: you again default to insulting my intelligence when (as we discussed previous game) when we (in fact) think the same thing. I will come with a list of 4-5, maybe less and then (as a tie breaker, which i should've made clear) probably go for the highest influence person.
Probably should've made my change in mind on influence a bit clearer I suppose.
My opinion (from the first game) still remains that its probably difficult to do better than a short list on the first day and then HAVING the influence scores we have a clear way to break ties. Obiviously, as someone with a fairly high influence score myself (4) this position could bite me in the ass. But I am town/"win with the innocents" (as you will see) so hopefully can contribute to the win.
FWIW: I have a fairly strong power for night use, but not one that can be used to determine actions (not a seer or whatever you call it).
Interesting that I probably should've deduced there were neighbours because my PM refers to me winning with town but being 'alone with my own mind'. So perhaps the allocation of neighbours happened after powers were assigned and hence I have the multiple personality disorder roleplay included in mine.
I meant for deadline to be 6 hours(minus 5 minutes) from now. But I copied over the rules from a past game before the DST switching, so the rules in the front post are incorrect and need fixing.
Since it's late in the day and there is confusion I can extend this day an extra hour to make sure nobody is accidentally shut out of the day when they thought they had an hour left.

I would *really* rather not; 02:00 is (just) possible given nothing on tomorrow, 03:00 is not.

Responding to Fenn, I wasn't saying a lurker lynch is bad per se, just that I didn't think uber-lurking was in Ichabod's character as scum or town. Your vote on him, bringing him into the lead, suggested either a lack of knowledge of his play style or a lazy place to park.
However, hypocrisy alert, as I am still on Holden. It looks like Lewwyn doesn't feel inclined to turn his partner over to an angry mob, so I will move on.
My gut read on Meiz is that he leans town, because after getting votes for being too passive and not voting, he responded by…not voting, and questioning Molach and Novice. I think a wolf’s first instinct would be to place a red vote to get the immediate pressure off his back, because they think survival first.
Jowy I know is not up yet, but I think he’s made two very easy votes. Bob for being 'evil', then Molach to test his claim. I have doubts about Jowy. But on a reread, I also agree with his Moses vote. Molach has only made one single post of substance, his descent from the mountain with bushels of paragraphs:
(April 13th, 2015, 14:47)Molach Wrote: * Thy shalt not covet thy neighbours' wife, his donkey nor his support , as thou dost not know his true self as he might verily be marked with the number of the werewolves *
And stop beating about the bush here, I can see Zak trying to bushwhack me here with that faux-fun vote, but I am prepared to bring as peace offering a few bushels of paragraphs.
First paragraph: I find this using character name instead of player name makes this a lot harder to follow. So this is quite obviously a wolf ploy, to confuse honest players, steering them away from the hunt by making them remember tons of names. Novice posted a list of players' influence (that is player name) and then voted for a character name. "Having too many influential players lurking in the shadows won't do. George Smiley." So yeah, who is that again? What is George Smiley's lurking history like?
Second paragraph: Influence is a thing here, influential wolves are more dangerous and influential villagers need to stay sharp and break ties the right way. Be good to know for sure how trustworthy they are. Hear that, investigative PRs? Check out influential guys. First player-post in the game (Mol.3.1) talked about influence, then it was unheard of till novice's post (nov.78.4).
Third paragraph: Always fun when people keep making joke votes one day in... like Jowy here on Bob. You a scum trying to do the normal thing, lay a joke vote to fit in? Joke votes only first 16 hours, everyone knows this.
Fourth paragraph: Somewhat inspired by looking at that baron Harkonnen I decided to watch Dune (1984) last night, instead of rereading all the joke votes of last night. Post-movie, checking out "trivia" on imdb I read "The movie alludes strongly to Bible stories; such as, most strongly, the story of Moses." So there, baron Bob.
Fifth paragraph: I'll now reveal my power. I am immune. Immune to lynching, immune to nightkills. Generally immune. For what GM would be responsible for burning the Book frem whence my character came?
But a lot of this is supernumerary and superfluous, as Cugel might say. His bushels are:
1. Let’s use player names
2. Keep influence in mind
3. Too late in the day for Jowy to joke
4. I watched a movie
5. A not very good joke about his power
The point on influence is a good one. But if it's too late in the day for joke votes, why would you follow that up with a 'joke power'? It could be that he made his immunity claim to avoid a lynch, then saw that people were talking about lynching him anyway to test it, so he retroactively called it a joke.
Since then he’s posted nothing except his vote on Adrien, for a reasonable point (Adrien voting where the wind blows), but he backpedals immediately with ‘undecided how much this says about his scumminess’. So I see too much waffle from the Great Patriarch. His words are carved in sand, not stone.
If Matt can't be up for 3am, I think we should stick to the original deadline, but either way Brick you should post the deadline in big bold colourful letters, because the back and forth on it now has confused me.
