WW38: The Story of the Stories

In fact, if he knew his neighbor was town (by being himself scum), then he'd have even more reason to defend him, and to stage a little Good Cop / Bad Cop conversation with his scumbuddy.

I don't see why Lewwyns neighbour should get any clearance at all. If he is scum than Gaz knows that and can try to get villagecred by pushing for his lynch. And if Gaz gets killed than someone might come with "Hey look Gaz wanted to lynch Lewwyns neighbour that guy is a clear villager now".

No but you didn't mention Gazglum at all. There were 2 (3 if you count fenn too) racing to the gallow and you only mentioned one and only as "He is not a good lynch". No comment on the others and keeping your vote where it did nothing. You didn't even try to get your target lynched.

I am not inclined to bandwagon for its own sake. Didn't have any thoughts on Gaz and wasn't going to vote for him over the person I def. felt was suspicious.

I most certainly did try to get Lewwyn lynched. I voted for him and made a post explaining why he was worth voting for. I confess that I wasn't confident enough about any given player to run around trying to raise pitchforks, what with it being D1 and all.

I can understand all this but in your post you detailed why you thought Molach as bad lynch. You spent some words to declare your suspicion on Jowy but you did no further comment on your preferred target Lewwyn.

Judging from that post you still have Lewwyn in your scum-book. Anyone else you would like to lynch or whom you consider as bad lynch?

Eeyore wasnt able to get time for a re read in last night. But first impression is that Ichabod is very unlikely to be scum with how Gazglum both voted for him early and Ichabod iirc was one of the early people to voice suspicion of Gaz.

I'm sorry about my low participation. I didn't foresee having this little time. Maybe if work is slow I can do a re read there. I potentially have time in the later half of the day but it depends on how homework goes.

Zak, I don't follow what you mean by saying Shadeun sounds scummy but you don't think that makes him scum. You mean it's something like my take on Moses, that it's too obvious to be scummy? I have to disagree if that's the case. Last game Rowain stuck his neck out late to save Fenn due to a rushed miscount; why don't you think this could be the same thing?

By latter half of the day I mean the second 24-hr period of the game day. Today is booked up.

@ Rowain-

Bad Book:

* Lewwyn (neighbor stuff continues to strike me more as a scum play).

* Shaderun (last-second vote to save Gaz).

* Meiz (argues that being friends with someone IRL excuses super-scummy votes).

* Novice (don't understand his vote on Fenn, except maybe as an attempt to start a last-second wagon away from Gaz).

* Jowy, if his posting restriction turns out to be a fake.

Not-so-Bad Book:

* Rowain (you're on my case, as always, but you seem genuine, also vote on Gaz).

* Fenn (if I understand influence correctly, he cast the killing vote on Gaz).

* Ichabod (vote on Gaz / staying in character 24/7 [seriously] ).

* Molach (reads as village Molach to me, and I suspect we didn't manage two scum on the block).

Dunno about the rest.

We can at least focus the randomness towards people who have demonstrated a lack of interest in the general progress of the game with egregious lurking. Better than going full random and hitting someone who'd help substantially in later deduction

Agreed; your vote here looks highly opportunistic. And look at the nice wagon he has now!

I'm with the barbarian. Go read Meiz's 8 posts (it won't take you long) and tell me what you think.
Here's the sum total of anything of remote use, for those interested:
(April 13th, 2015, 09:31)Meiz Wrote: Talking robot gets slight town points for trying to get things moving. Put a mental vote from me for Väinämöinen until the old man wakes up.
(April 13th, 2015, 09:46)Meiz Wrote: It's not that he got things moving, but he made the effort. I agree same goes for Lewwyn as well.
(April 14th, 2015, 00:38)Meiz Wrote: Don't think Molachs or novices votes on Adrien are too concrete, so I'd like them to explain the suspicion in more detail.
While I agree that the votes on Adrien are a bit iffy, this is basically two minor town leads from 40 hours of play.
No votes, not even actually placing that pressure vote he threatened on Jowy.

Lurking hard while keeping his post count up contributing nothing.
Meiz

So, Mattimeo's vote on day 1:

1. Joke vote on Commodore.
2. "Pressure" vote on me or Jowy, when we hadn't posted anything.
3. Votes Meiz with the post above.

So, look at that. What bothers me is voting for someone while saying things like "while I agree...". This sort of backtracking, you know? Yeah, later in the game you can't suspect 100% of anyone, there's good and bad points for everyome, really. But day 1, when you are casting your first meaningful vote, to go for someone that already has a bit of good points... Meh... Seems pretty bad.

4. Votes Molach, ended the day there, which, in our current hindsight, is bad.

Blah, pretty bad, overall. Considering Matt's ways of lurking to glory, I wouldn't mind lynching him. He always speaks like he's so goddman sure of what he's saying, even when that doesn't make much sense really, that we get afraid of messing with him. But he never feels like he's a stuck up or a hot-shot, so we don't get angry at him to justify our votes. I guess that's how he's such an accomplished and successful wolf player.

Ah, but the "did you roll wolf" question was Meiz's doing, so scratch that from my case. Meiz gets a pass because he voted Gazglum.

Anyway, Matt has a very good chance of being a phony, really.

Well, it looks like Killing the Klever was enough to satiate the literature gods tonight. You all wake up, and no one was missing from the end of the day before. Surely that means nothing's going to ever happen at nights from now on, right?

No one was killed.
