WW38: The Story of the Stories

Gotta run, but I'll say this:

If he doesn't want to die today novice should claim his powers, he's headed straight to lynch-ville at this rate. In the same vein I think Mattimeo should have shot him instead of zakalwe, but this comes down to a difference in opinion.

Krill's claim is consistent with my result and nobody claiming to target me with any roleblocking, but I find the scan immunity a bit suspect. Mostly since it was what he had to claim at that point. Difficult for me to get a solid read on him from his posts, partly because so few of them.

Now we know that zakalwe is telling the truth, Jowy's claim of roleblocker (among other abilities) is fishy for town to have. I'm fine with his scum reads though.

With this I fully agree
That plus no kill meant Zak had to be bad
His town flip I could not foresee
About that I'm still confused and mad

This post from the QT log describes the majority of my thought process:

In before zak's town and I get lynched today because of it and you're scum playing brilliantly tongue

The second line specifically.

I was a lot more confident in my scum-read on zak than I was on you.

If I'd actually consulted Lewwyn, rather than immediately running with Ichabod's lament that he'd shoot someone if he was a vig in the 5min break I had, probably would have saved it 'til deadline (which, given it's Friday night / Sat morning I would have been able to make), and shot then only if I was in danger of being lynched, given it does extend the day by 24h. Otherwise, D3, probably first 24h so as not to extend the day, like the original plan (which I admit you're going to have to take my word for) was.

Honestly, agree here. Dayvig is a fairly strong scum role, just as it's a pretty decent town role. In itself, can't get a read, unless you want to assign one based on usage. If I'm relying on a meta-clear, it's definitely from the neighbour side, not the dayvig.

Okay.

Why the long shot on Zak instead the natural novice kill which 7 people would applaud you for. Only 1 vote on Zak I think? You acted alone here, almost like..a..vigilante...

Zak is good player, valuable town, very active poster. If wrong you not just killed a villager, but Zak the Black..author of THE definitive WW-book.

It was rash. Or reckless. Or a good way to kill a strong enemy villager, in my opinion. If you as innocent town was on the verge of being mislynched, take the shot and get saved if you hit scum <-is what I'd do.

I'll add something to the other side of the scales: scum would ideally want to preserve a daykill till endgame, to pull a game-winning combo.
Played: FFH PBEM XXVI (Rhoanna) FFH PBEM XXV (Shekinah) FFH PBEM XXX (Flauros) Pitboss 11 (Kublai Rome)
Playing:Pitboss 18 (Ghengis Portugal) PBEM 60 - AI start (Napoleon Inca)

Maybe they have other tricks up their sleeves, maybe novice is innocent and he wasn't sure he could get us to kill Zak after day viging him, in any case if novice flips town I'm going after Matt tomorrow. OTOH if novice is scum he gets some town points

I... what?

If the brother I *didn't* shoot, shows up scum, I get town points?

You know that actually makes negative sense, right?

You're going after novice anyway by voting for him. If you're scum and you're bussing novice why get yourself under the radar ? In that situation I fully agree with Molach's last point.

Goreripper staggers out, free and bleary. He blinks in surprise at the puddle of congealed gore that was once of squirrel. He shakes his head sadly at the innocent life lost but still tucks a useful bone under the folds of his g-string.

@Bob

Are you going to sleep on Pindi like you did yesterday on Lewwyn or are we going to hear more from you today?

@Krill

A post o 2 from you outlining who your topsuspects are and whom you have in your town-book would be helpful. As would placing your vote.

@Goreripper, Lewwyn & Meiz
Assume novice turns out scum who would your next top-suspect be? And who if novice turns out innocent?
