WW38: The Story of the Stories

Right. So once again the vote is based on meta or the claim. It just pushes me more towards the conclusion of scum.

And when novice votes for jowy? They are both scummy imo, but you are right it does give one pause.

I appreciate the sentiment but it's going to be the exception rather than the norm. Yesterday I had some time in the evening. The next few days I probably will not.

Novice's claim seems crazy powerful. GMs, take note: next game I want that power.

If he's scum why would he put the vote on a villager when he's being scrutinized though ? He knows we're going to keep it against him. At least it's a null tell to me (I'm trying to avoid looking at the suspects with scum glasses or I'll find all their actions scummy)

Easier said than done lol

To continue my immediate reaction, it's not only that the role is super-OP (a watcher who can choose his target in hindsight), but it is very unfun role to put against the wolves. Almost 100% chance of being caught by the night kill down the road. Sure the wolves might have a silent killer of some sort, but he could get killed while the super-watcher could survive until the end game. I simply don't believe GM would put such a role in this game. The role actually makes perfect sense as a scum role to find town PR's.

Well like I've already said, if you guys are going to lynch based on meta (which I don't necessarily object to), Jowy makes a lot more sense. He hasn't contributed much either, and has a post restriction that is convenient for scum but a major handicap for town.

As for me I'd say I've scumhunted as much as the next guy today. Mattimeo really has been scumming it up all game long and just shrugs it off with "the people voting for me are scum". Now he's killed off one of them (a townie) and is looking to lynch another (me). My vote on him was not for meta reasons - really, the meta is the only thing in his favour. But yes, Lewwyn, I do take the meta into account when casting my vote. You've kind of signed up for that when you join a role madness game.

The only other point against me is my Fenn vote on day 1. I can only repeat that I think Fenn was a good lynch at the time, who happens to look like a bad lynch in hindsight.

I get the feeling though that people have sort of forgotten why they're lynching me in the first place. They just look at the vote count, see lots of people voting for me, and conclude that I must therefore be scummy. Well that's what it feels like at least.
I have to run.

Sums are difficult! Can one of you city-bred scribblers post the vote count?

I don't get why you feel Lewwyn would be obv. town. Wouldn't it make more sense from a meta standpoint for the villager in a villager / scum neighbor pair to have a day kill? Gives them a dilemma about whether to shoot their neighbor or not, based on what is said in the QT. Existence of a scum neighborizer doesn't = both claimed other neighbors are likely village, in my mind.

This is actually a point in Lewwyn's favor, but my understanding is that it shouldn't matter if Pin was jailed instead, any kill directed at Lewwyn would have been deflected to Pin along with the jailing, so even if the attack bounced off Pin it was still *meant* for Lewwyn, and Pin would have died if Krill didn't try to jail Lewwyn.

Are you going to sleep on Pindi like you did yesterday on Lewwyn or are we going to hear more from you today?

I'll vote for someone else if I think someone else is more suspicious. Would you prefer I join the giant pile of people on Novice? Nobody else has much traction atm anyway. Or are you just upset that I'm not running to join your particular crusade?

Bob, you're not really pushing for my lynch though. If you really think I'm a better lynch than novice shouldn't you be advocating for it?

This is fruitless! Let me reveal to you my story!

I am but an innocent barbarian, wandering far from the green fields of my home. I came here seeking not plunder nor death, but to find a wench to slake my vast hungers! The ghost of the wizard Brick told me that the wench I visit would have alignment revealed and would share with me her or his power for one shot. So I went with the jutting outcroppings of the lithsome Matt and found her both innocent and motivational for the exsanguinating of a single life in the daytime. I trust her and the warrior who gave me this second vote in hand and the Fenn who so suddenly slew the clever schemer but few others. It is clear to me that we shall get nowhere from Agfnd's halls unless I slay Novice.

Grignr holds forth the sharpened pelvic bone from within his loincloth.

Any last words, Novice knave?
