[PB26 Spoilers] Joey and Donovan play around in the muck

At least. I think I got it though.
The religion should really really help; it gives +1cpt/+gpt without a shrine now, and I had no good second city spot except with expanded borders.
Did somebody say "banana"....several days ago? Sorry, my hearin' ain't the best.
Anyhoo, I am back and will try to get a good look at things when I can. I like what I see so far. EDIT: BTW, I like (and appreciate) the bananas theme on steroids, though this thread is starting to resemble the Poly ISDG thread before I joined. We can add Bananas Foster and Banana Split to that list. (April 22nd, 2015, 09:35)Donovan Zoi Wrote: Did somebody say "banana"....several days ago? Sorry, my hearin' ain't the best. You need a forum avatar. T44-T56.
I decided that I really needed Stonehenge, just gotta have that 'Henge. It's really good for us here, as it'll get that first double prophet started and help us deal with our horrible land via cheap border pops. First, I whipped a settler into it on T44: then did that again with a worker, until finally, I could whip it to completion T54! The whip ends up being totally worth it, even with the wonder malus, because I could work my food tiles here instead of non-food tiles. Besides, it would be worth it anyways just to secure the wonder - monuments are worth 2c per city in this mod, so SH acts like a mini GLH now. In other news, I've been having some barb problems. My plan on dealing with these things was to get some chariots, but, whoops, my horses have no BFC food except for island pigs because I moved my capital. Welp! So, I since I delayed BW, I have to use archers. (slavery comes at archery in this mod, so I already had the tech.) In the meantime, though, I lost my scout: And almost lost an archer, too! Notice how terrible this city is, no food of its own except for lake tiles - that's because there's like no food anywhere else, LOL! Another awesome, fun map here at Realms Beyond, where we spend a year and a half playing pitboss games but then make the map in an hour or two. This guy isn't a barb, and I hope he doesn't act like one... Current settling plan is this: I aced that barb with my new archer on T56, and my settler and worker make there way down to some Actual Food. Settling on that Ivory is something I'm still considering... it would a lot safer than reaching all the way down there, but it would also mean splitting off my food even further, the food I'd be splitting off would be weak, and I'd not gain anything new. Sorta damned if I do, damned if I don't... |
