You say that and yet I saw every other player in that game not doing exactly that. Also, almost every single player in PB18. What can I say.

Krill riddle me this. If everybody knows that you're supposed to build cities then why are Commodore, Borsche, and I the only players in this game building cities.

Haven't read your thread from 22 as I'm nominally still dedlurking Commodore there (not sure why at this point!). What's the summary? Is there any consideration in the argument for being out of land? I built cities in 18 until I was out of land probably like most other players did. Not everyone had your kind of Huge Tracts of Land to work with (although your continued expansion phase was much more successful than, for instance, mine. ) Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon
Ha, no I certainly didn't mean anyone on YOUR continent! I was being a bit hyperbolistic (current status = fully on tilt) but I saw many players in that game not expanding into land they should have. I could break it down in my PB18 thread if you want. My recent PB22 post was a big illustrated guide to filler cities, which Krill of course, being Krill, thinks is the most obvious thing in the world, and yet many expert players in that game (e.g. Mack, plako, Gawdzak, Gavagai, dtay, 2metra) had not been doing it so well, IMHO.
I think your dedlurking duties will be done any day now, so check it out when you get a chance...
I can't speak for conditions in 22 since I've never logged in and only know what Commodore reports about the war situation, but...never assume the end is near! It turns out you can, in fact, squeeze a lot of blood out of a turnip if you have a mind to do it.

Commodore is going all dictator on his PB22 thread. His ded-lurkers actually think he's winning the game.

From recent experience I know that when you're the guy getting attacked from both sides it doesn't usually go terribly well.
