This seems like a mistake. Is that just me?

But basically my thinking is, Gallics aren't much use unless he's going to actually attack. And if he's going to attack, he needs to go all-in now, not wait and waffle.

Granted, it may work out if HAK gets in a quagmire with Joey or Borshe. 2nd into a dogpile is usually the best position.

I'm more than a little bitter and don't see any reason for peace. At the bottom of the scoreboard we have a lot less to lose than the #2 position. It's not satisfying enough really, but it'll help if we can turn that city into a money pit for him. Maybe rip up a fishing net or two as well while we wait to have another go at him when we get cats. I also think that I would get some satisfaction by using a chariot to rip up the farm in the event that he does manage to farm the corn. And then trade some units. We'll have to be open to entertainment options. :LOL:

This game is still completely horrible.

He's decided to try invading me, nuking our imminent ICTRs with some shitty unpromoed ancient trash to take a city with no strategic, tactical, or economic value to him. Meanwhile, fucking Borsche settles here too, and because HAK is wasting his time with me he now has a chance to get another city too, even closer to HAK, as HAK built these stupid units instead of a fucking settler, arrghh! Great job HAK, way to remove my culture from this spot that was no threat to you but of major strategic value to me, only to lose out on more land than you might gain either way. Also, I'm sure that even if you win here, I'll just let you keep a city there and never get revenge on you ever!

I started whipping this turn to get some units built, though, just in case he decides to attack. I also debarked the settler across the straight, so that city will get built next turn.

Are Commodore and dtay running away with the game? Any highlights from them / explanation for their success? I've been reading threads here occasionally, but not close enough to really understand what's going on.
