I randomly generated the turn order and it's:

1. jalapeno 8 PM-midnight EDT
2. Dreylin 8-11 PM CDT (9PM-midnight EDT)
3. Ventessel 4:30-5:30 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT
4. DaveV 6-7 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT
5. Aurorarcher 2-4 PM EDT, sometimes 1-4 AM

I have picks for 3 of the players so far. There was a conflict with 2 players first picks being Amurites, I randomly generated the result and jalepeno got it. These preliminary picks will stay unless a conflict presents itself: at which point the relevant conflicts will be rolled (or re-rolled).

1. jalapeno 8 PM-midnight EDT : Dain of the Amurites
2. Dreylin 8-11 PM CDT (9PM-midnight EDT)
3. Ventessel 4:30-5:30 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT : Cardith Lorda of the Kuriorates
4. DaveV 6-7 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT : Flauros of the Calabim
5. Aurorarcher 2-4 PM EDT, sometimes 1-4 AM

For maps:

Try6 is my favorite so far. Kurios need some slight adjustment.
Try10 is ok except for Kurios which also need some slight adjustment. The map doesn't excite me as much as Try6.

I figure I'll do run 10 more maps.

I need some suggestions for this mapscript. The players want Dungeons, Lairs and Unique Improvements, but for whatever reason, this map doesn't generate them, so I have to add them in.

I need some kind of metric to judge how many Dungeons, Lairs, and Unique Improvements the map should have added to it, and how roughly far to place these from Starting Locations and so forth.

I'd generate one with similar amount of tiles and run some ctrl-F. But it'll come down to a lot of gut on your part, as these things inevitably do.

Dave or someone might know a script that does it, though.

Edit: Actually, forget all of that. There are a number of game options you can add in that do exactly that - randomize huts, randomize lairs, randomize UF. They might be named somewhere around, but I'd recommend looking at the scenario files where those sorts of behavior go down.

Remembering this is what made me realise that:

I never really liked Torusland for FFH because it doesn't place any dungeons or lairs on the map. But then I realized that if I saved T0 as a Worldbuilder file, and manually set the Randomize Lairs and Randomize Unique Features values to "true," I'd get a map with everything: barrows and shipwrecks and Yggdrassil and all. So now it really is perfect. Thank you Seven!

Dreylin's first pick was Decius of the Calabim. This conflicts with Flauros of the Calabim. I did a coinflip and Dreylin won. This means that DaveV is relegated to his second pick of Volanna. If Auroarcher chooses Amurites or Calabim, then we'll re-do the RNG again.

1. jalapeno 8 PM-midnight EDT : Dain of the Amurites
2. Dreylin 8-11 PM CDT (9PM-midnight EDT) : Decius of the Calabim
3. Ventessel 4:30-5:30 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT : Cardith Lorda of the Kuriorates
4. DaveV 6-7 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT : Volanna of the Svartalfar
5. Aurorarcher 2-4 PM EDT, sometimes 1-4 AM

See attached file. Every civ seems to have a decent starting point. They should all have strategic resources within 4 plots. They should all have a farm resource (Corn, Wheat, Rice) nearby their starting location. Lairs and unique improvements have been added.

Based on my understanding of the feedback of the players, this map should be fine as is. If anyone has any feedback, it would be most appreciated soon.
