I played the turn, settled Avada Kedavra, did one more turn of 0% research (the uni was about to finish in GD) ended turn and then realized that by doing those 0% turns on techs like monarchy or alphabet we could 5 or 6 turn them while losing max 1 turn on the actual tech path. So we'll do optics after MS then while getting the necessary gold for astro we should tech alpha or monarchy.

With 68 stating, I'd like to take back the game permanently as discussed. Strange, but I really enjoyed steering this half sunken ship once again over the weekend (even catching myself thinking over micro ideas on how to fight best for a lost cause)

Yeah I had the same moment, trying to figure a way to build a culture victory out of thin air. Turns out I don't see how we can get it with only 2 religions.

Now seriously, my idea is free religion quite soon, althoug maybe we should get a Hindu and a confu missionary while still in OR, to prepare for the day when we won't get anymore gold and gems from trades (or when we launch our glorious campaign of revenge on THH ![mischief mischief](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/mischief.gif) ). The 10% beakers will hardly be noticed I fear, with nearly all cities having universities already
To finish the religion post, was it noticed/reported that Taoism fell to Al? Maybe after all he gets his MoM Taj, he certainly has the hammers to build it. Not sure if I would like or not the game to last longer if he manages to be a counterweight to THH

TOS also has some decent chance of revolt, despite being full of units (about 4.7% iirc, before when there was just one LB there it was 9.x%)
Previously I wrote that THH is stacking in Perrier; actually he kept his knights behind, with one stack in TOS and one near Hulk. Does he know we have city visibility on all of our old cities? Can't see boats yet, but he might have them hiding in the fog. Or, maybe more probably, he still is going to pull them over towards another target once he is prepared enough. Actually, now we have OB, we could send worker scouts onto the mainland to get a better grasp of what's going on, and maybe spot boats earlyer, if they are approaching.
Al has a decent Knights/Cats stack (not enough to kill THH's units, but maybe could slow him down or at least force him to engage seriously - I hope we have our grens ready by that time)

Minimal action this turn. GD is 1turning some cats while we're researching (an additional galley or two could also be good). When there's enough overflow, I'll take a 1t musket of course.
Pfeffi finished its market (right when we're researching again, d'oh). Units will still take a little while to finish, at least 2t to get Peas to size 4.
Forgot to mention that last turn we got yet another GS, so no really soon GA (next chance is in 8t iirc). No idea what to do with that guy, an academy at GD seems very silly at this point. Well maybe some day we'll want PP for whatever reason.

Actually we've got 3 choices : use him for an academy, use him as a settled scientist or wait till we research alpha so he can part-bulb PP. And the choice needs to be now because if we're ending up doing option one or two we need to do it ASAP or waste some beakers. How much is an academy in GD worth ? With all the multipliers what does a settled GS in pfeffi give us ?

Settled Rep GS in Pfeffi will be 9*3bpt once we get Oxford done (also maybe FR bonus in the future), plus one hammer (?). Academy in GD no idea right now, bit the city works a gold mine and like 11coast tiles, so maybe 15bpt?, but just when the slider's up. I'm Surprised to see that settling wins!
Still, the rate of return versus the 1xxx bulb beakers doesn't convince me. The advantage would be of course that we could use the settled GS beakers for Tech's that we really want. Might even do it, and if it's just to raise Pfeffi's glory

Also, I settled the GS in Pfeffi, because it's something new, immediate benefit and who knows if we will ever get in reach of PP...
Meanwhile, THH is researching Paper, man that guy is backwards... also he's building walls in TOS, no idea why, it's not like we'll be coming with knights, should we ever come. He has a considerable stack there, plus the other big knight stack between Hulk and Emerald, so unless he starts war with someone we haqve no hopes. Some more graphs of interest:
Strange game, this of Al's. The MfG is really impressive, and he has made an attack of big scary THH quite unlikely to succeed, still I don't get at all the build-MoM-and-never-launch-a-golden-age play...
