Hi all, given that there's a concensus to get this game started I will not be able to implement all of the suggestions. Balancing out 3 city sites for 5 civs can't be done with the time I have in the evening this week. I'll try to get a working copy done tonight for review to give me time to make adjustments following feedback. I plan on aiming for a Thursday release.

Kragroth - I'm very much in line with the general sentiment of getting the game underway, at the expense of perfect balance. Thanks for your efforts, and the time you've already put in.

Other players - this game is starting at an awkward time for me; I'll be on vacation for most of the next two weeks. I'll have my laptop and wireless access, and should be able to find time to play the turns, but my PYFT rating may drop significantly.

Not the end of the world. Just getting the game going, even if slowly, will build some positive inertia.

Kragroth, thanks for your help with the map! It's very much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing the map when we start the game.

No problem, Dave. Not like we shouldn't know that already as you told it earlier in this thread if I recall correctly.

Yeah, would be sweet to get the map and game started as soon as we can. At least to see which civs are goin to be in the play so the gameplay planning can beging - even if the turns aren't moving very fast.

I think Kragroth should have everyone's picks (mine & yours were the last two iirc).

Kragroth, could you share the civ list with us?

I can share it, but as soon as I share it it becomes permanent.

No last minute changes to Civ Picks?

Not wanting to single you out here, but you changed your pick post-announcement in 42, so the community has already proven itself flexible about that sort of thing.

Waiting for all the players to chime in again seems sort-of unnecessary, but I guess we can do it if you want.

I confirm my picks have not changed! nod

I did, but that's because Elohim has an undocumented change (15 turn Worldspell) in conflict with the game text (30 turns).
I suppose if people want to make a change, they can choose an Alternative pick from their original pick list.

I confirm my picks as well.

These were the final picks. I used a Random Number Generator to Resolve Conflicting picks. I used a Random Number Generator for Player Turn Order.

1. jalapeno 8 PM-midnight EDT : Dain of the Amurites
2. Dreylin 8-11 PM CDT (9PM-midnight EDT) : Decius of the Calabim
3. Ventessel 4:30-5:30 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT : Cardith Lorda of the Kuriorates
4. DaveV 6-7 AM or lunchtime or 6-9 PM EDT : Volanna of the Svartalfar
5. Aurorarcher 2-4 PM EDT, sometimes 1-4 AM : Kandros Fir of the Khazad

If you really really need to make a change, pm me.
