God that's annoying. I finally sit down with the iPad and type a long, lucid post. Hit preview post and Safari insta-crashes.

What is your case against Lewwyn? And how do you feel about Adrien now?
Let me get back to you on Adrien. As for Lewwyn, I tried to give the gist of it here:
(May 13th, 2015, 16:51)novice Wrote: Also, why is Lewwyn voting Adrien? And Lewwyn's posts on Zak are bad. He's fishing for a mislynch.
Firstly, after I shocked everyone by voting Zak, there were two reactions. Bob voted Zak for reasons that got him lynched, and Lewwyn posted this:
(May 12th, 2015, 21:56)Lewwyn Wrote: I think's Zak's catching a lot of heat for the right and wrong reasons. I don't think the post restriction thing is any sort of tell, but I think Zak's jumping around in his voting is a bit more suspicious.
Zak follows me onto Rowain>Rowain votes for him>Zak Votes for Adrien>Novice votes for him> Zak votes for Gaz>Bob votes for him.
It's funny that every time someone votes for Zak he switches his vote.
I think the Adreien vote is most instructive:
(May 12th, 2015, 07:01)zakalwe Wrote: AdrienIer, thou shalt not lurk whilst commanding people to not lurk.
This is his second vote, it's still early game, but this vote is actually a bit more of a serious vote with a more serious reason behind it. Despite that, it is a vote that is presented non-seriously in humorous terms. So which is it a serious suspicious vote? Or a joke vote? Or is it a vote scum vote looking for a reason without wanting to look like he's trying to hard?
When he moves off of Adrien to Gaz, he gives reasoning for moving off of him, this implies that the vote on Adrien was actually a serious vote, which again was a bit strange at that point.
I think Zak is suspicious because of all this, but honestly we're still missing two people and I've read Zak wrong before so I'm willing to wait a little bit.
How much time is left in Day 1?
He introduces a second reason for voting Zak that I don't particularly agree with. So that read a bit like avoiding any traps but laying the groundwork for a later Zak lynch.
Then, just before he's going to bed, he asks Rowain how he feels about Zak, and when Rowain points to two towny posts by Zak, Lewwyn replies:
(May 13th, 2015, 10:55)Lewwyn Wrote: I'm of two minds about it. I agree those posts are good they don't shout scum. Meh I'm probably just paranoid.
AdrienIer
6am deadline for me, I won't be getting up before it.
So that reads like giving up on a Zak lynch for now and leaving a hit and run vote on Adrien instead. Lewwyn hasn't mentioned Adrien at all so far, so he can conveniently explain that vote after the lynch, adjusting to circumstances.
Now obviously, angling for a Zak lynch isn't automatically bad, but this hit and run is a pattern I've seen in scumwyn before and didn't like. I guess I should have analyzed who Lewwyn would be trying to save with his behaviour, but I was time restricted.
If that exposition comes across as slightly defensive it's probably because I think Lewwyn is making very villagery noises at the moment so he's not really on the top of my suspect list anymore. I would like him to explain his Adrien vote for the record, though.

This is much to friendly for you Rowain. Much much to friendly.
(May 13th, 2015, 17:45)novice Wrote: Shadeun, why did you assume that there would be three wolves?
Look at the question mark at the end of my sentence. I was asking if 3. However, on reflection, if you mislynch day 1 with no power and then wolves kill then it becomes 4v3 and then wolves pretty much win without some amazing play by town. So we are hunting two wolves unless Jabbz 'has it in' for town from the get-go.
Adrien + somebody would be the obvious wolf combo here for my money. Way too defensive and then jumped on bob.
Others: novice defending adrien "he's not feeling it" seems strange, even if it was tee'd up by Zak. Also the 3 wolves question was way off mark - i was clearly asking a question (which nobody answered for me, letting me think it out myself).
Zak: switched last minute, has been pretty engaged but not sure here. Needs to be pressed more on the switch given surely logic dictated Adrien was a better vote?
Gazglum: Although Gazglum can never be trusted again after WW38. However, does seem to be scum hunting a little. I don't think (if he was scum, even adrien scumbuddy) he comes out before deadline and says this:
Quote: This is a weak end to the day. Riwain lying low so adrien hangs. His argument that he is intentionally playibg worse (I say passive is worse) is absurd.I hate to do this, but im going to have to order everyone to move thier votes to him.
Big risk with A: massive downside if he's with adrien and both scum. If he's scum and NOT with with Adrien then why say something so brazen and indicate towards someone that had very little focus?
At work so will finish there to get something down.
(May 13th, 2015, 12:59)novice Wrote: Is it just the fact that he referred to the fake PR in parentheses that makes him scummy?
This level of analysis (use of parenthesis) is what makes our (can i say that yet?) WW games somewhat inaccessible. RIP comments that have less than PHD level construction.
You guys scare me
Just to clarify what I was trying to thumb out here, it didn't have anything to do with punctuation as such...
Bob said that
(May 13th, 2015, 11:47)Bobchillingworth Wrote: I'm still incredulous that Zak actually hoped to derive viable intel from a joke post.
This was the "joke post" that Bob was referring to:
(May 12th, 2015, 00:40)zakalwe Wrote: I don't have a bastard role, but I have a fake post restriction that requires me to post some kind of bullshit in every post.
Anyway... 9 players and no powers. That's the most basic setup we've ever had. Time to brush off the old BS methodology.
First town lean of the day goes to Novice. He's enjoying himself too much to be scum. Second goes to... Lewwyn? As scum, I think he would make more town noises in his opening post.
Rowain
And this was Zakalwe "hoping to derive intel":
(May 12th, 2015, 08:07)zakalwe Wrote: I did expect some objections to me throwing out two town leans in the first post (on top of faking a bullshit post restriction). I'm baiting a bit but to be honest I don't know exactly what kind of reaction I'm looking for. Hopefully I'll know when I see it.
Now, you can see that the intel he was hoping to derive was from the two town leans, which were not a joke, as far as I could tell. The only joke in Zak's first post was the post restriction.
So the only thing I could see that village Bob would find scummy about Zak's bolded statement was the addendum in parentheses. So my question to Bob was, do you really find Zak scummy based only on the fact that he added a reference to his bullshit post restriction in parentheses.
(May 14th, 2015, 05:58)Shadeun Wrote: surely logic dictated Adrien was a better vote?
How so?
Your vote, after asking (yourself) why not adrien received this:
(May 13th, 2015, 16:55)novice Wrote:
(May 13th, 2015, 16:53)zakalwe Wrote: Why not AdrienIer?
Not feeling it. Hard to verbalize, esp. From phone.
and:
(May 13th, 2015, 16:57)AdrienIer Wrote: So what am I supposed to do ? After I get votes for defending Bob I should vote Bob to save my head ? Well you know what it doesn't cost me anything Bob Sorry mate but it's either a certain town death or a probable town death. Not that me living is really going to happen.
So novice is "not feeling it" and adrien gives a "bob its you or me, and I know I'm town" and you make change from adrien to bob (who IMO was playing pretty normally, see my first post which shows I'm consistent on this). Adrien seemed to be playing pretty strange (you voted for him originally yourself) so not sure.
So: the above just seems off Zak. And I hold you to a fairly high standard.
Slight hypocrisy from ME to jump on the guy who switches last minute for strange reasons though (see: last game).
So either you are adriens scum buddy, voted for him early as cover and switched late (bold play.... doubt you'd follow this line) or you are innocent.
Still: I think adrien was the better lynch. But that doesnt help us now particularly. I also think you're probably town given your line of play.
About Adrien. He had posts 11 and 21 where he pressured lurkers and asked the vets for advice. Could be seen as scummy or just his style. It matches his last game as SK, but I think it matches earlier games also?
The post that seems to have earned Adrien his votes is his "frantic" post 43. Our confirmed villager sums up what's off about it:
(May 13th, 2015, 11:47)Bobchillingworth Wrote: I actually don't like Adrien's justification for voting for Zak, which I frankly find difficult to understand, nor his justification for not voting for me. Why spend paragraphs explaining to everyone why you aren't voting for someone who only has two votes on them on D1? That said, from my perspective I know I'm not scum, and it doesn't make much sense to me to vote for Adrien for buddying up with me. Unless maybe he thinks I'm going to hang anyway and he'll look better when I show up as clear? Seems to be backfiring if that's the case.
Like me he didn't deem it voteworthy though.
I guess what put me off voting Adrien yesterday was his general activity level and willingness to stick his neck out. It doesn't make sense from a scum perspective, you can easily play it more low key without catching heat for it.
Shadeun, the three wolves thing:
It's pretty obvious that there can't be three wolves. You figured out why when confronted with it. (I did answer your question originally, by the way.)
My thought was, isn't this obvious enough that you would figure it out before even asking? So why did you ask? Are you faking being a noob townie who doesn't know the setup?
