That was a tilted-axis map. On a toroid, you need to circumnavigate both wraps.

I planted my 3rd city, which is costing me a fortune, but early happiness is too good to ignore. Chariot productions started.

This is so BS and it makes me furious. Khan/Pindicator decided to basically throwaway their game, and ruin everyone elses in the mean time. Everyone else has been growing but this team was stuck on 2 cities size 2 doing nothing but making impis.
Is this what RB wants to teach new players that they should try SP tactics like impi rush and hope that it succeeds?! I was hoping to play games where ppl reach think about their openings and do the standard make workers, settlers, and defenders in the early game and balance their economy and whatnot. It is even more ironic that Pindicator complains that Commodore rushes him every game, but it is ok for the player he is dedlurking to do the same?! I guess instead of whipping out another settler, I will have to make a ton of warriors and archers. Pretty bad for me since I was only going to claim copper with the 4th city NW of copper, but I might have to plant this city NE, which makes a terrible city in the long term. Maybe I should have played it safe and take the Babylonians with all these aggressive civs. BTW global power has been rising a lot, and I think everyone else realized what the Zulu team is doing.

I guess not settling the copper with 3rd city cost me the game. Khan settled his 3rd city on the pig gold site and I need to heavily invest in military to just claim the copper. I won't bother with updates on this game any further.

ok got some sleep and calmed down a bit. Although I probably can't win, doesn't mean I can't also drag my offender with me. For the blood thirsty lurkers, get ready for a reprisal of PB8. I probably will have to tech IW next.

Maybe Khan's pink dot was defensible but LT's now definitely is not. Never experienced this in a MP setting so dunno whether to continue to settle other cities I plan on settling first and let his far away city (which I doubt even has road support) just eat him on maintenance or take it out soon as possible. I do have copper online next turn.
