Thanks for sharing that, I love how the author took all of the random terms and conditions (and the red pill typo) and turned it into an internally consistent and highly entertaining narrative.

EDIT: I'm also not in the least surprised to see LessWrong as the first link on the sidebar :3

I took the blue pill and I'm disappointed. Not only did he work with a IMO wrong premise (no live everywhere) there was also a serious lack of imagination what one could/would do with such a power.

I don't think you can say that any sf premise is wrong if the story it produces is thought provoking. But what would you do with the power Rowain?

For one I would not just visit tourist sides but really research for example the depth of the ocean. That alone will be enough for a life time or 2.

You can go and research all those planets, moons their geologies their setting .

Travel to suns, neutron stars or learn what really happens to spacetime inside a black hole.

There is no need to rush through everything like he claims you would do. How can one see Florence, Jerusalem and Kyoto in one afternoon as he says? The Uffici alone are worth a day or 2.

And I'm sure there are many other interesting things to do.

You can use this power to become supreme ruler of the world or just remove all those that try hard to make it a miserable world.

And if space is really that void of life as he assumes you can start to bring life to all the various points and watch the development of it too (at least for some time wink ).
