The game still desperately needs a hard counter to death rattles like TBK or Kezan. Midrange demon "zoo" and the Voidcaller spawning Doomguard nonsense (seriously, they seem to have it 80% of the time) is the most annoying deck in the entire game.

Do you mean a card like Nerubar Weblord only applying to deathrattles instead? Or do you have another idea for combating it? Its worth noting that Paladin has Scarlet Purifier and virtually no-one runs it.

p.s. You going to make it to legend this month? Not much time left.

Scarlet purifier doesn't really work because Nerubian Egg actually wants to die and Haunted Creeper doesn't really care. something like: White Knight, 5/4 for 5, battle cry: kill target minion that costs 5 mana or less with Deathrattle (deathrattle doesn't trigger) might work

and yeah I'm trying for legend again this month, been up at rank 1. playing mainly Patron warrior with a brawl teched in for surprise factor against warlocks/mirror match.

This is a good video for newer players:

Silence?

Silence just breaks even. for example, Spellbreaker on Piloted Shredder leaves 4/3 against 4/3. That's appropriate since silence is a general purpose answer that also negates buffs, taunts, and minion passive effects. What I would like to see is a more narrowly focused card that actually gains tempo on the deathrattles in exchange for being bad in other situations.

I don't know where I saw it but an effect of "deathrattles don't trigger" on a minion could an interesting way to introduce anti-deathrattle tech. Sort of a Rivendare in reverse. Would have to be on a minion with enough power that it forces awkward trades on your opponent's turn. Maybe a 3/5 for 4? Shredder/creeper/egg wouldn't trade favorably with that.

Made it to legend in May with Patron (I played some mage as well, but that deck just broke even). I tried a bunch of different lists and swapping cards but settled on Zalae's list in the end as the best compromise between draw power and defence. I thought the 1/1 split between dread corsair and sludge was brilliant. the only change I made was running brawl instead of BGH as the one situational card, and it did a lot of work clearing flooded enemy boards.

0: inner rage x2
1: execute x2, whirlwind x2
2: fiery waraxe x2, armorsmith x2, cruel taskmaster x1, loot hoarder x2
3: acolyte of pain x2, frothing berserker x2, war song commander x2
4: death's bite x2, dread corsair x1
5: grim patron x2, brawl x1, sludge belcher x1
6: Emperor
8: Grommash

I was really wrong about running Boom over Grommash before. the extra reach Grommash offers really adds a lot because you can more confidently do smaller and less secure combos, whereas if Boom eats a BGH he doesn't accomplish much since Patron warrior generally loses the board in the late game until it combos off (thus my preference for Brawl for clearing.)

Blizz is hyping up what seems to be a new play mode. I hope it is auto-tournament mode.. although if that comes true I may never quit this game. It would be so perfect..
