Quick update as I haven't had a lot of time to compose a post --
War between Commodore and Retep ended. War started and ended between Commodore and HAK in the same turn. I'm sensing I am not much longer for this world.

What's the relationship between this feeling and your recruitment for your proposed new pitboss game?

Turn 121
And it has begun.
Retep, Commodore and HAK all declared war on me this turn, though HAK immediately offered peace without any battles occurring. I suspect it was so he could get his galley through my culture down south. And it is very obvious I am toast, at least on the mainland.
Relative army strength based just on what I can see of Commodore's.
Yeah, I'm done.
I realize I'm the low-hanging fruit, but you'd think the other players around wouldn't want Commodore getting stronger. Had retep and he continued fighting, I would have joined in. Ah well. That is the disadvantage of AI diplo...no ability for the weaker players to effectively cooperate against the stronger player(s).
In any case, because I can't mount an effective defense, I'm going to leave one or two units in each city as a speed bump and try to evacuate all of the others across the strait, especially my workers. Maybe I can join in the party against Gavagai and expand some over there. I also 2-pop whipped archers in every city as they're the most effective defensive unit I have against crossbows.
I did fight a couple of battles. I took out that lone longbow up north with a spearman that had 99% odds (the lbow was damaged). I also sent a spear against his two-knight stack in the middle and lost him at 27% odds.
I sent 3 G3 Gallics from Poison against his knight stack...all three of them had 50% withdrawal odds, and all 3 of them died.
On the other hand, those losses improved my economy! Everything else except for the token forces I started moving back to Motley Crue.

Retep razed GunsNRoses, and Commodore captured Poison and Skid row, at the cost of 3 knights and some damaged other units.
I continued evacuating units. In the end I'll move about 9 combat units and 4 workers across the strait. Can't save the cities on the mainland, but maybe I can keep myself going a little longer.

Turn 123
Evacuation is complete -- all the workers I couldn't rescue have been dispanded, and I have about a half-dozen G3 Gallics and 4 chariots I was able to retreat. Didn't lose any cities last turn, but I'll lose 2 by my next turn playing. Retep will probably capture Twisted Sister, as he will play next before Commodore and has 4 wellies outside the city to my 1 spear. Commodore will definitely capture Motley Crue, though it currently has 2 C1/G2 spears (on a plains hill + 60% cultural) and another G2 spear will be built before he plays. The C1/G2 spears will have +200% defensive bonus, and +190% for the G2 spear against his knights, so it will be an expensive capture. That will also cause me to lose access to iron.
Once that completes, I'll have 3 remaining cities on the mainland plus my two across the strait. I will also have 1 trireme and 4 galleys, so I'm contemplating how to strike back. What I will probably do is look for opportunities to raze reteps coastal cities -- there's a big island NE of my capital that he's mostly populated, and it's easily within reach. I know he has a few galleys as he landed his wellies by Twisted Sister with them, but I don't know how many he has, or if he has triremes. He certainly hasn't seen mine yet.
HAK also offered a world map exchange. I'm guessing the immediate declare war/peace by Commodore and him was a way to guarantee peace on that front while Commodore gobbles me up. Which is a pity, but I think HAK and retep have played themselves out of the game. Retep may walk away with two of my cities, but Commodore will walk away with 7 of them, including my capital. GJ is still competitive, but it's unlikely they will be. Commodore is already ahead in tech (as evidenced by his knights while retep is still using wellies), and that's not going to stop once this war ends.
Out of curiosity, is it possible to raze a city that used to be yours? Or can you only capture it back?

![shakehead shakehead](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/shakehead.gif) (If you founded it you can't raze it).

Ok, that's what I thought. So I have to find other cities to raze.

Turn 124
Retep razed Twisted Sister at the end of last turn, and Commodore captured Motley Crue. He'll take Winger and Warrant next turn, and probably another 1-2 turns until my last city he can reach is taken.
After that, I'll just have the two cities on Gavagai's continent.
The question is: Do I try to expand by going to war with Gavagai, or raid/raze whatever I can of retep and Commodore's?
