So, I'll stabilize my current situation over the next 2-3 turns and then hand it over to him. Er. Maybe best to advertise for a replacement in general first? From looking at the Who Posted, Krill is kind of the biggest non-team poster in our thread:
And also in HAKs:
This isn't exactly the usual Krill-as-Kevorkian takeover...

He said he hasn't been paying attention to the game, and sorry, if you guys actually want to continue the game then a strong player needs to sub for my position. Krill has posted in my thread a bunch too but it was actually rarely about the actual game, so I have to figure its similar for you guys. He just to chat. And, to be honest, I'm only willing to accept the sub, as much as I truly do need it, because I can trust Krill to play strongly. Your other option is TBS, although he only volunteered to take over in the event that no other suitable replacement could be found.

I did a quick review of the posts in my thread from Krill. The last 4 were recent, and all related to something kinda related to game mechanics and not related at all to the updates I've been posting. So as long as he can honestly say he hasn't been reading the details closely (I tend to put a lot of the detail screenshots in spoiler tags anyway), then I'm fine with him being the sub. All the rest of his posts in my thread were from April and earlier, and again mostly related to game mechanics or random stuff.
But if Commodore (or anyone else) objects, we may need to find a different replacement. I just wanted to state that I don't object.

TBS hasn't posted as recently in my thread; but I don't know how much he's read. If he's not been following closely, of course that's fine.
So the logic here is that everyone else is insane because for reasons of diplo obviously we're >92.8% odds of winning...so why do you care how strong your replacement is?
Obviously, nobody is even close to winning this yet, and the game should be fun, so if you're not having fun and yet the game should go on you should get a replacement. See if we can find a strong unspoiled player first; I know Mackoti in the form of 'reddog' wanted to play here at first, he might not be spoiled. I'm sure Seven would relish the challenge. Either of those players will probably win this, but that's fine, that's how it goes; TBS or Krill even unspoiled could well play to victory too. Dtay could hop on his Sullla alt, even...
Jokes aside, if you aren't having fun, you are responsible to nobody but yourself, it's nobody's business but your own, if you want to quit. If no unspoiled sub can be found, Krill can take over, this game is much to interesting and in doubt to just die.
Actually, Krill should take over Gawdzak's position in 22 too, rather than see it die...

The above is a bit techy, I know, because I hate the dip-splosion here. That said, I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your job IRL there, Joey. That sucks, and I hope something better comes out of it.

Yeah, sorry to hear that Joey. I didn't know either. I went through (still am) the same exact thing last year. I've been "unemployed" now since October. My only saving grace is that I got a decent severance/stay-on bonus, and one of my former directors got me some consulting work with her & her new boss as the new company she got a job at. But all this sitting at home, banging my head against the desk (I've actually done that a few times) is not the best thing for the mind. Hopefully you find something new faster than I have been. It really sucks having to log into the unemployment website every week to verify my details of the week to get my pittance from the government too. And even that ends in a couple months.

Krill is like working nights and shit, isn't he? He probably doesn't have the time to do a monster like PB22. (although that said, if he or any other vet wants to sub in, PLEASE DO!!!)
Anyways, I care about my sub because I feel a responsibility to the game because I signed up to play to the end. A sub should have as little effect in-game as possible, and therefore I can't in good conscience just walk away from it without knowing that will happen. A poorly suited sub can change a game far more than my "diplo" comments here.
We can talk about this more in your thread once a sub takes over. If you don't feel comfortable with Krill taking over, you should negotiate with some of those other people you mentioned.
edit: thank you all for your sympathies... I do appreciate them.

GG Borsche, although I never met you.
Carry a grudge? If not, you're pretty unspoiled, want a new civ?
