Yesterday was anotehr no turn day. Today is looking grimly like another no turn day or a set-up for a no turn day for tomorrow.
If things keep this way, I think i'll ask for the game to be called. I had my share of 2 turns per week games and I just don't want to play this way anymore. It ceases to be fun when your turn isn't part of your daily routine and I lose the time I could be playing games that I actually enjoy. I'll probably sign up for the next PB or perhaps just no play for a while, doing the SG turnsets to feed the Civ urge...
Blah...

I know that feeling, in EitB 37 the pace was rubbish. It only takes one player to play little sloppy... and it ruins the enjoyment of others as well ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) .

Yes, it's hard to maintain enthusiasm when the turn pace stalls out. And lack of enthusiasm leads to other players being slow to play. It's a vicious circle.

In the first 30 turns or so we were keeping the pace just fine, so it's definetely possible, even with 6 players (though I think 50% of the time I received the save out of my turn window). And the turns now aren't that much complex than on turn 1, maybe one, two more cities and some workers. I don't remember what exactly started the delay trend, but it's pretty bad now.
Hopefully Kragoth will play the turn in the ~30 minutes left on his play window. Bob is usually pretty fast with the turn and hopefully I can still reach Ellimist.

This is a bit annoying. I'm 1 food short of finishing PoR in 9 turns, instead of 10, without starving to size 6. Starving is not an option, we'd take too long to grow back to size 7 working two specialists and we'd lose commerce too, which is one of the bottlenecks. I think I've made a mistake with the overflow chain: I could have finished the Herbalist first and still overflow everything I could from the Palisade. That'd have given me the needed 1 food...
Anyway, right now, what I'm going to do is not work the priest for one turn, to finish the PoR in 9 turns. It's overall better, in the GPP department (we get one extra turn of 2 priests, which negates the turn we didn't work the priest + the GPP from the wonder + the rounding) and commerce department. But, if we get a lucky forest growth to get another 1/2 or 0/3 tile, we can finish it in 9 turns without wasting a priest turn.
So, fingers crossed!
Not sure what your complaining about, TBS. TBT is the 4th (!) best city in the world. It's above average, considering we probably have some 8 cities in the world already.

I said I needed a forest growth in that hill, not a graveyard growth!
Yeah, we got a pretty cool event, with a pretty cool result. The option is a no brainer, really; graveyards are the best type of lairs in FFH (as a matter of fact, anyone has the link to graveyard results readily avaiable? ![please please](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/please.gif) ).
I decided not to explore it yet, since popping education from it would ruin my entire game plan. I thought about popping it after bulbing with the first 2 GPROs for Corruption of Spirit (since that's the tech that gets screwed in the bulb order by education), but if I'm going to do things this way, better to wait until CoS is researched for a chance at a lucky Infernal Pact result!! Not sure if that's actually possible...
Anyway, by then I'll have some more warriors, so a skeleton/spectre result won't really own us.

Iirc, 25% skele, 25% spectre, 25% tech, 25% gold.
It'll be in DaveV's lair thread in the EitB subforum, too.

At least it should take it's rightful place at the top of the list for a while when the Prophecy finishes.

Thanks, Dave!
So, we finally reached turn 50 and you guys won't believe what happened!
That's right, nothing!
My friends, we are still not out of our self imposed Stasis. Everything is going so slooooooowwwww..... (especially the turn pace - ouch, nasty burn!)
I'm so bored I almost sent my worker exploring... But I hold back and decided to build a scout first, use my WS and then send my invisible worker exploring. Expect some crazy news 20 turns from now!
Who cares about demos? I only care about DEMONS! (you didn't see this one coming, did you? ![dancing dancing](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/dancing5.gif) )
