Oh boy, can't wait to read this tomorrow.

I said my piece with him and I said my piece in this thread, I'm done with it. He's going to play up Krill, doing stuff like gifting the city back just to make him look stronger, gifting cities back to Elkad, etc, just so that he can have the epic "boss showdown" that he wants. The guy gets so stuck in needing his narratives to play out, he can't just play to win and be done with it. Just like how he's playing up HAK's GNP (and it *is* true that HAK has a slightly higher average bpt income right now, although I'm in disbelieve that a Phi civ with a capital like that has not put an Academy in it yet) without mentioning that the Incas are still up like 5 or 6 *big* techs - off the top of my head, its at least Monotheism/Monarchy/Vassalage/Engineering/Guilds.
I think your advice is good, I am taking a break from civ... all I have left is PB26, which is just a very very silly game...

With all this talk about who can read who better going on in these threads, it's no wonder why WW is losing its appeal. People just play it in their Civ spoiler threads...

And now retep is getting in on it. They're all so accurate in their impressions of each other that it's spooky; almost as though they're all really the same guy

in b4fore retep is a Commodore smurf, GJ is a krill smurf, borsche is a Locke smurf, and Mindy is.... oh I can't, there's no one like Mindy.

Mindy reminds me of Amelia, who used to be a frequent participant in FFH games.

No. Its a chance to let off steam when someone is winding you up, then look back on what you wrote later and say "I'm glad I didn't post that because I don't want to poison the atmosphere in a forum I really like."
Sorry you didn't enjoy the map Joey.
Edit: I haven't read much of your thread because I knew it'd be bad for my mental health, but in response to the two criticisms I've seen:
1. Commotay got extra happy resources because retep didn't expand how I expected. I think this was one of the more balanced non-mirrored RB maps resource-wise with everyone getting a 6-, 5- and 4-food tile and copper at their cap and having at least three ancient-era happies.
2. Until you started conquering Elkad's cities you only had five neighbours. Two of whom, Gav and Borsche, could have very little interest in attacking you until they'd dealt with each other. Sure Comotay only had four neighbours but I'd rather have started in your place than Grimace (on a much smaller continent and a similar position to you) or Borsche's (not a lot of land to expand into). As mentioned elsewhere I'm not sure how you perfectly balance nine on a cylinder while having continents. I think my idea would have worked better with eight players.
I guess you would have spiked the map, but my thinking was that the start quality was within the variance of player skill.
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57

If you really felt that way, you would have made this post 2 months ago.
Thanks for making the map, Harry.
