[PB25-SPOILERS] The Lunacy of the Reign of HAK Continues

And yep....there they are:

Guess I settled Rolling Eyes too soon. I'm going to have to abandon that city (only has that Sword in it) so that he can go defend one of the other two cities.

I've never done it myself, but I would think that you set up the scenario, save it as a Worldbuilder file and then play Hotseat so you can skip the turn without moving the stack. Maybe....

Ah, didn't think about the hotseat option. May have to try that sometime...maybe. smile

Well I was going to log in to start finishing my turn, but Tasunke is logged in YET AGAIN for the past hour!!! Does this guy ever stop logging in for long periods of time? He's basically keeping the rest of us from being able to play our turns.
Anyway, I guess it gives me time to see if Mindy shows up to give some thoughts. Right now I'm leaning towards pulling the entire stack back into Five Guys. Gavagai will probably then use that opportunity to destroy it, but I can't think of any other options right now. I didn't post a pic yet, but Commodore also has 3 Galleys that he is sending south down the channel. Since he has OB with Gavagai (and is currently moving through his culture), I believe he is coming after me. Probably going after my island, or hoping he can hit one of my coastal cities. Not a whole lot I can do about it different than I already was. Was already planning to whip the Triremes I was building and whip the Archer in Grumpy. So his sailing south didn't change much there.
Also switched Sore to Chitzen Itza. It likely won't be finished in time to actually help me with anything, but I just don't know what else to do at this point. Not sure anymore why I actually started AW. It's not a wonder I usually build....which is saying something, since I'm a Wonder-freak. smile

Well, off to do stuff with my relatives for the evening. At least if I don't get to the rest of the turn tonight, I don't need to ask for a pause since I have at least until 10:30am tomorrow with the timer as it is. So I can finish the turn in the morning once I figure out fully what the hell to do to dig myself out of this hole I've dug....which I don't think is possible at this point.

Oh well, again no time for any real thinking or simming since we need to get on the road for the long drive home shortly. So I just moved the whole stack back into Five Guys, so I'm sure Gavagai will now attack it (since it no longer has any defense bonuses), destroy it, and retake all the cities I just took from him. And with Commodore now coming down at me as well, I guess it's finally game over. After this I suppose I'll be willing to concede the game to Commodore once everyone else is ready, which I'm sure most of them are. Just don't know if I'll be able to recover form this misstep. I was in good contention until this. Probably should have tried to find a full-time sub to play my turns while I was away, but there isn't anyone not spoiled at this point and no one ever wants to be the ones in charge of a large brand new war.

Well looks like Comm took one of my cities and Gavagai whipped every city he owns it seems. So I'm thinking I'm just totally screwed at this point. We driving home right now so can't check until tonight.

Hmmm....well I suppose this is leaning towards it being game over....
First I log in to this:

And then this is the next window that pops up:

So the city that Commodore attacked was razing my new city of Rolling Eyes. Guess I should have expected that, since I retreated the Sword out of it in order to help protect the other more important cities of Popeyes and McDonalds.
This here is where his threatening demand for my two island cities comes into play:

So I have Gavagai demanding back all of the cities I took from him and Commodore demanding my two island cities. If I send back either deal (had to decline them both in order to log in and see what was going on), it's essentially game over for me. And if I don't send them back, they'll simply take the cities by force since I don't think there is anything at all I can do to stop them. The most I can hope for is that they lose a unit or two while doing so.
Gavagai would likely lose a good number of his catapults, but that is probably about it. I would also need to decide right now which city I protect. Five Guys is on flatland and he can hit it directly with his Catapults and everything else next turn if he so desires. If I withdraw most (or everything) to McDonalds I'll have a better time of defending, because I would get a chance to hit those Catapults before they could hit me. So do I offer Peace to Gavagai giving him Five Guys, which I know he would decline? And pull all my forces back to McDs and let him just take Five Guys back?

And what about Commodore. Do I make him take the two cities by force, or do I peacefully hand them over? I think I'd rather him have to take it by force. If I can kill just one of his units, that will get me a Great General.

Maybe leave a LK in Five Guys as well that Gavagai would have to suicide one of his units against before killing it with the next. That also would get me my GG.

I may have to ask for a pause until Mindy is around, since this is too important of a turn right now. But I don't even remember when that would be. Ugh, why does this have to happen right now? frown

So I've done all the normal basic stuff that I can for now. So hopefully Mindy shows up, because I am completely stuck on what to do. And I'm tired and my brain is no longer functioning.

Below are the demos & graphs:

I'm half tempted to just kick off my Golden Age now because....why the hell not. At this point I don't think it's going to matter. If I disregard both their offers, that means I'm going to be getting attacked from both sides. So it may just be time to go down in a blaze of glory, revel in my making a good solid run, getting up to contender 2nd place spot.....and then fucking it all up to die. And at that point, I assume the game will get conceded. After all, I think I was one of the few that wanted it to keep going so that I could at least see what would happen between me and Gavagai.

I have the largest Soldier count, and I can't do anything with it. This is just insane. I can't believe how much I screwed all that up. I'm apparently obviously no good at this MP combat stuffs.

Hey HAK,

I've been in the wilderness. Just looking around now.

Saw your post just now. Enjoy the insanity of my last bunch of posts, and my total FUBAR of the situation. I'll be around for the next 15-20 min and then will be gone until about 1pm EST. I'll likely end up playing the turn at that time or so. Once I figure out what to do. LOL

EDIT: Also typing a few things in the googledoc if that's easier for you.
Also going off to lunch with the in-laws after church, so my main availability will actually be later this afternoon/evening.
