Challenge Games I've received

So, I've recently started taking challenges.

Today's is: Only use heroes. ...And play as Klackons!

Also it was specified that I must play on small or medium land size.

It was stipulated that I can use regular units to defend cities, and I'm allowed to scout with magic spirits.

I have a summoner challenge I've already failed once, and a lizardmen challenge which I'll be tackling as soon as this one is finished.

Notes on giving me new challenges.

Anything goes, even if I have to pull out a save file editor to make it possible. So be creative.

PLEASE NO MORE KLACKONS! They are a challenge game all by themselves. Tacking them onto another challenge is just mean.

Yeah, with Klackons, the initial tax level can be set even higher than one degree above the default.

Sorcery-wielding wizards are the worst when it comes to your heroes. Psionic Blast is lethal for low- and mid-level heroes without Magic Immunity artefacts, that you can craft only if you have 5 Sorcery books.
Turning off unit animation movements in options will make the occasional 50-turn race (their existence is the biggest flaw in game mechanics) less tedious.

Just playing my own version of the challenge. Magic Immunity on an artefact is a must and makes it much easier (although I did roll pretty much ideal world map conditions for this). Imagine your heroes with Magic Immunity laughing in the face of Psionic Blasts, Sprites and other AI caster units.

yeah. If I fail this round I'm going to try that.

I thought regen would be best, but now I'm certain Magic Immunity + Flight + Invisibility would be unstoppable.

Hilariously enough, the "Hero Challenge" as posited in the first post is something I tend to do on automatic; I use spirit scouts as normal, troops just to defend my cities, then once I get a hero, I give it some sources of mobility in the form of artifacts or enchantments, then let it do everything. If I have Sorcery and enough mana, I also let said Hero(es) do all the defense too with a lot of moving my Magic Circle and summoning.

Something about that high experience cap and good returns on experience.

I gave it another try.

...The results... Left me feeling ill...

Well, was I able to recover from what happened at the end of the last video?

Here's the answer.

LOL you lost a city to SETTLERS. You actually cast a debuff spell on them! And still lost! :D

But good job casting Earth to Mud and it worked. The right situation for the right spell.
