If you look here, you will see that by far the most common translation of Achilles is the version used by Serdoa. http://www.iliadtranslation.com/homeric_names.html I don't think Serdoa used a list, I think he wrote them as he is familiar with them, though this assumes English is not his first language, something I could be completely off base about.

Either way, my other argument still stands, which is why I placed it there in the first place. IF Zak is telling the truth, then that means Serdoa pulled a real bastard move, and we as town are fucked. I don't believe that's the case however. I've made my arguments, I'm going to sleep as its 4:15am, and I don't want a repeat of the very first night of this game. I'll be on after deadline I'm sure, so here is hoping I wake up to good news.

Well, I agree, and probably with some german influence. And the name that I am familiar with is Medusa, not Medousa.

I'll be honest, I'm unsure about what to do because your answer was satisfying but it came after a number of posts that made me want to vote for you. I'll be rereading again I suppose.

I can't help but think that Zak is lying about Medusa .... some of the other stuff he is saying kind of makes sense though.
For the sake of argument. Let's assume that Zak is telling the truth. And lets also assume that Novice is telling the truth.
If there is no SK, then Jabbz is either town or has flipped to a god. a No-kill tonight brought us to an even number of villagers, which MJW says reduces our chances, as opposed to an odd number? MJW could you elaborate on this bc ... I mean it sounds like something that makes sense, but I still don't see how 5 is better than 6. Jabbz definitely has a power, he definitely used it on Zak. Otherwise both are lying, which I think is unlikely. Also, if both were the gods, they wouldn't be trying to kill each other IMHO ... at least ... I *think* ... and since there should only be 1 god left anyways, if 1 flips wolf, and game doesn't end ....... then likliest is b/c Jabbz flipped Wolf due to the torture.
So what are we looking at here? Who would want (as wolf) 6 players today ... indicating an optioned no-kill? Who brought up (initially) the possibility of SK? Who said that we should 'lynch both, one after the other' as if it was the best play?
MJW did.
Now, if Jabbz *didn't* flip, then Zak is the last wolf, and we lynch him tomorrow. If Jabbz *did* flip, then there is 1 unknown. Novice already stated that, perhaps due to popularity, a non trans-alliterated Medusa makes sense even in light of all the other transalliterations. I would have to agree with this, because while I see many alternate spellings for some of the lesser known gods/heroes/etc ... I've almost never seen Medousa, and it is far more likely that the popular version would have been used.
I'm not saying that we should automatically lynch MJW if Jabbz flips scum ... but its far more likely. And if he flips town, then Zak is obviously the last lynch, and it makes for an uneventful final day.
Therefore, for the sake of the town, and in doing what is right for the purposes of information gathering, as opposed to going on my initial gut assumptions ... I'm going to vote Jabbz
