Eek, went into the lurker thread by mistake when trying to read yuris' post. Saw Joey had replied to Krill before realising and retreating.

We had to go back to the start of the turn, unfortunately, because Dreylin was the first player to play and that's where the trouble happened. Everyone will need to replay last turn. Sorry for the inconvenience. Instructions for the replay: Dreylin - you will decline the errant offer upon login, since it was obviously not intended and could not have been anticipated, as you have said in your thread. Play on accordingly. Everyone else (except Whosit and Wetbandit, who had not played yet) - make the same moves you made before. I haven't read all the threads so I don't know if replaying in the same sequence as before is necessary/possible, but just do your best to repeat the same outcome as previously played. Note to all players: It is highly advisable that you consider the effects of sending diplomacy messages through the in game interface. It would appear that sending a message to someone while you're at peace will come with some unanticipated additional terms when received by the other player if your war/peace status has changed in the time since the message was sent. As a result, you may accidentally offer a cease fire to the other side when you didn't mean to. Best practice would appear to be to not send diplomatic messages to someone if you intend to declare war on them on the same turn. Yet, as those messages are amusing, recipients...if you find yourself having a war declared upon you, be a good fellow and not accept the unintended cease fire in the future. Instead, reply back with a cheeky response saying how your adversary will soon be swimming with the fish, or similar. Anyway, 525 BC awaits for everyone, sorry for the trouble. I don't particularly like intervening and making everyone replay but it seemed the most fair solution to the situation. But, now that everyone knows a bit more of the mechanics from sending messages and how it relates to offering accidental cease fires...there won't be any further reloads for this issue. I think it's reasonable to do it here since we don't normally play with diplo rules allowing in game messages, so it wasn't as likely to have happened before where everyone would have been expected to know about it. But now we know, so no more reloads for this problem. If it happens again and it's your fault, it's too bad for you. OK. I will probably not be able to play until this evening (~8hrs from now). I will also be playing my turn differently for obvious reasons.
