DaveV goes on the hunt with Volanna

Looks like I'm the next target.

Cue Frank Sinatra: And now the end is near, and so I face the final curtain...

Turn 107, the hammer still hasn't fallen.

I'm paying the price for my pre-game hubris. This has not been one of my better games.

No screenshot, because my work laptop lacks a real print screen button. But I finished my first two priests of leaves, and settled a city for the Remnants. My economy sucks; I may not be able to research another tech.

Got Win7? I recently discovered the snipping tool. Should work in your case

Thanks, Miguelito, I'll give the snipping tool a try. I suspect it won't work with mouse hovering, so won't be any better than the on-screen keyboard.

Aurorarcher fired off his world spell and declared on jalepeno. I built a couple tiger cages.

In the south, my fawn ran into a pair of bears.

Sareln's calculator says I have slightly better than coin-flip odds (52.7%, to be precise) of beating both of them, and there's a barb warrior following behind. I should have moved more carefully. I'll probably declare on Aurorarcher and trot my scout into his territory next turn. He's already fighting two wars, maybe I can catch him unprepared.

Only one of the bears attacked. I retreated the fawn and captured bear to the Remnants, where they were covered by the other fawn (and borders, after I ended turn).

I did declare on Aurorarcher and move in; here's what I saw:

Forcing him to draft might be a little help to the other guys, but I'm still convinced this game is over.

Aurorarcher killed my scout, and is lining up for an attack on Cherry. His workers can build a road on the sheep, then all his glowy guys can take Mobility promotions and hit my city. I moved some of the warriors out, leaving five guys to hold the fort.

Aurorarcher's attack is cruising along without much trouble. He has a Ratha now.

This is probably game over for me. End my suffering, Aurorarcher!

Turn 115 opened with a volley of diplo requests from jalepeno:

He followed with individual requests for my other two palace mana types. No doubt this means he's going to fire Arcane Lacuna next turn, which means the priests I'm building aren't going to do much good.

See the little circle pointing off to the upper left? That's his chariot in Chestnut, the other border city, which he kept. He has a big stack and two workers in the city.
