So, not the strongest combo available (Hannibal of Byzantium, Roosevelt of India, Victoria of anywhere all being options), but I'm pretty happy with it. All set up for really fast expansion, and Commodore & others have certainly proven the utility of the UU.


Going by the "pbemlist" google doc, it doesn't look like anyone else has used the combo before? That doesn't sound right, anyone who knows otherwise should feel free to correct me.

Interesting divide in the picks. Alhazard and I are focused on rapid expansion, while Commodore and AT have econ-warrior pairings. Not too certain what DTG is going for.

No IND leaders or India, which is interesting. Not surprised nobody took Inca, weren't many good leaders to pair them with.

I played this exact combo in our second badgame pitboss, which was also BTS. Its completely nuts, probably the fastest and also snowballiest starting combo you can possibly pick. It one *hell* of a fun, but in the same way as burnin' past traffic on an ordinary US highway would be in a Formula One racecar.

TBS's thread in PB19 (he was Joao of Mongolia, which, keep in mind, is actually *slower* than what you're driving here) is highly recommended reading, IMHO. And he wasn't on a Toroid either...
