If partially unboiling an egg in any way involved (and worked!) using a time machine that would be some interesting research. I have a feeling the real research was probably much less interesting though. Also, good move putting UT on a river. You'll sweep the human filth right downstream into that big lake. +2 health in that city is obviously deserved.

yeah, it's apparently a chemical process. And, the real thing is that it's fast - apparently, you can already do that, but it takes days.
On to the turn!!!
That's a spear covering a worker, plus a warrior. He has another warrior further north, so most of his actual military is down here. Weird that his spear is down here - I wonder if Egypt is south of him or something. Spear first is odd... though, maybe it upgraded from a warrior when copper connected.
Also note that he has jungled gems. My guess is that everyone has 1 camp lux resource (ivory or fur) and 1 mining resource. I probably should prioritize getting a trade route to adrien over molach so I can get gems from him.. unless, of course, ichatep has gems, as well. I'd like to be able to make Adrien a target once he gets his shrine. Assuming I'm alive then, of course....
#1 in population and up to #8 in demos, just from working a Mined PH. Early game is so amusing
My warrior goes off to explore the north. I'll leave a warrior at the red dot until the city can whip in a defender, just in case it's needed.
Worker micro. The idea is to road the sheep, then PH, the chop the PH at UT, mine/chop the grass hill at Banana Friction and road to Unboiled Egg.
I had been planning banana friction to go worker->settler, but I think I'll go back to worker->worker->settler. I tihink it makes it easier to line up workers on the jungle when it's necessary, since it takes fewer turns to get to IW.

One thing I didn't mention is that Barteq had a large jump in score (13 points) last turn and seemed to jump in power some. I presume it's either Math or Iron working. I'm guessing Iron Working to get his jaguars, which means I'll have to worry about C1, W II jaguars, which totally sucks. I mean, I don't think they do well against CGI/Drill I archers behind walls, but man are they going to mess up workers making improvements. And definitely will need axes to defend against the damn things.

Some analysis of whipping in my cap:
I've been thinking about whether or not I should pop whip in my cap. 1 whip gets me 30 hammers right now. It looks like my last 2 citizens will work 2 grass hills, 1 of which is riverside. That means if I'm making workboats/workers and pop whip 1, I get 30 hammers and lose out on 20 food hammers (3 hammers - 1 food hammer) * 10 turns, for a gain of 10 hammers. If I'm making settlers, that's 48 hammers vs 32 foodhammers.
If I pop whip 2 and immediately grow, that's 50 hammers vs 20, or 80 vs. 32, which is huge.
I think I'm not doing enough pop whipping in my cap.

Turn 48, In Which Finds Something Which Changes His Plans In Unknown Ways
That thing is, of course, a source of whales right off the coast. Whale boats are available at sailing in RtR, which is very nice. This is clearly a priority for me - dunno if it's before or after the southern city (probably after), but a city here (or 1 W) is absolutely next after that. Right where the worker is has the advantage of getting stone immediately, plus it's an easily defendable coastal tile. 1W potentially has more seafood. So, we'll see.
But this is very exciting stuff - another cottage to work for Huh?, more hammer tiles for UT...
The south is less exciting, though more "why did Adrien go north if this copper was right here? maybe he didn't see it.
I'm debating exploring more this way - I'm a little worried this will end and Adrien will plop a city down and cut me off. He certainly seems to be setting up for a settler this way.
Boring demos - still tied for 1st in population, despite a 2 pop whip.

So, how do whales affect my game? Well, I think I'm changing my dotmap a little - I had planned on a helper city south of Huh? to grow cottages, but that city had food issues and, frankly, sucked. With 2 more happy from whales/market, I think I can grow cottages with slightly different helper cities - one, frankly, is even crappier, but it does work tiles I wouldn't be able to work other wise. the other is one I've been thinking about, but it has crappy food - now, it will have slightly less crappy food. And I can move the city that was south of Huh? a couple of tiles south and use an ice tile (which is useless for anything else, anyway) as a city center and, frankly, make excellent use of the ice floodplains south as another commerce city, since it takes so long to build improvements on ice/tundra.

This has nothing to do with the game or anything, but it's brilliant:

Turn 49, In Which AT Prepares For The Big Turn 50 Summary
As for the Renoir protestors - I suspect it will turn out to be a publicity stunt, but it's funny
So, whale city has fish!! I believe where the warrior stands is the only location that can get that fish, so that's where that city goes. It makes a city south of that spot problematic, though I'll probably put one there. Eventually, though, it's just going to end up working a couple of coastal tiles and a merchant. But it will help in the short term.
I moved the way i did because, while you can't see it, there's a settler under the spear. I really didn't want to get caught south of here, so I'm moving back north to swing around and explore around Molach some.
Demo
My GNP is down cause I realized I could get math in the same number of turns and work the wheat in Huh? and grow a turn faster.
Barteq's power keeps climbing
That could be a huge pain in the ass - no way is that another tech. I'm guessing an axe, but I'm not sure.
Couple of people have size 6 cities now.
2 turns till I get my next city.

The above is a screen shot of my central/south region - the area I want to settle.
The Red cirlces are where I have solid plans to plant cities - the eastern rice city (Unboiled Egg) gets planted in 2 turns, presuming Molach does nothing to spoil the party.
The red by the silver/cow is a support city that gets planted after Huh? borders expand, because it has no food till then. Huh? is going worker->library, so that border expansion should be in 15 turns or so.
The south red with the 3 deer should be a nice little city, either being a strong cottage or production city.
And the SE red is, obviously, my "push at barteq" city.
the question is what to do with the other cities:
I have 3 yellow and 3 blue sites set up. There are plusses and minuses with each of them.
Blue gives a strong square and a good diamond, both of which are coastal, which is nice for my eventual custom houses. But the circle is filler of the worst kind - no food, at all. It'll eventually be able to work some cottages and it'll make a profit, but it will never be a very good city.
Yellow gives a decent square and diamond and a useful circle which can actually share food with the capitol. Long term, it's not a great city, but it stronger than the blue circle in the short term.
The two green circles are places I want to put cities, but I dunno exactly where they go - the west one may move closer in, I dunno.
