My apologies: I had an interview yesterday that involved some overnight travel the day before, and it then went on longer than I'd expected. I only got back late last night. Anyway, sorry.
I'm having trouble opening the initial file though. There's a problem with the assets being protected, and BTS crashes as soon as I try to open the save (too quickly to take a screenshot). Can anyone suggest a fix? FYI, I'm using a non-Steam version of Civ 4, and I've not had any problems opening the BTS files in PBEM 66 and 67. I'll start as soon as I can open the file.
Dunno - Commodore? I've never set up a PBEM before - I presume that GermanJoey did something wrong, but I have no idea how to diagnose DTG's problem.

If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
GermanJoey or Brick: could one of you please send me a fresh 4000 BC save? I'll let you know whether or not that works.
It screws things up for some OSes.
