Sadly, the horse was already out of the stable last night. If it was just you who had seen it, we'd have kept quiet.

I saw it here first and posted in the RtR thread seeking clarification.

I wasn't serious I probably should have posted something about it myself - obviously, you guys did the right thing.

No, this is a pretty huge deal. All players needed to know.

Why? What makes it fair for a player to gain an advantage by carefully building a sim and testing their options, but not fair for a player to gain by carefully reading the civilopedia and testing the mod? (Krill excluded, of course)
On a mirrored start map (no comment if this is one), you wouldn't make a tech thread post with the best micro-plan.

It's because it was a bug not listed in the changelog. Why should players expect their to be other changes other than what's listed as explicitly changed from the last version of the mod, 2.0.7.6, used in PB25? That's just stupid.

I completely agree that everyone should know. I feel bad I didn't mention it when I first found out about it.
Can we get back to making fun of my city placement choices again? it's very easy to do....

City placements seem decent, but, of course, its always better to have more of them. And, I happen to know this one weird trick to get a bunch of new cities really quick...

Well, the keshik's are coming, but a settler is just as cheap, so for now, we go the peaceful route, backed up by protective archers
speaking of city placements:
The lines represent the diagonals made between tiles 10 tiles from the respective city centers. that's, roughly, the land for each civ that is their's. Note that there is a buffer - 1 tile between barteq and me, 2 between adrien and me.
The red circles are where I want to put cities. My plan is kind of screwing over Barteq more than Adrien, but that's partly because the land is nicer - I'd rather invest in grassland than tundra. I am planning on taking most of the border land.
The green circles are backup spots, in case I can't get the spots I want.
The pink circle is probably not going to happen - it will piss off both adrien and barteq. But who knows?
Note that the city I've been considering as my 1st southern city is no longer. I can get 30 hammers out of the cap for settlers and 29 for workers, so my plan is to grow to that size and put a city down to share the wheat. I probably should have done that a long time ago, but what can you do?

Turn 58, In Which AT Is Reminded That Hell Is Other People
I thought of "AT Is Reminded To Never Make Plans" or "AT Gets A Dose Of His Own Medicine" Why?
This is not a total disaster - that's an aggressive plant, of course, but not terrifically more aggressive than some of my planned plants and, assuming he goes there, it fits in well with the green dots I had. But man - I hate the idea of all those forests being used by someone who isn't me. There's nothing particularly to be done about it, though I might 2 pop whip my settler and build a chariot out of the cap to harass him. At least I don't have to worry about barbs very much...
My plan is to just fill in spots around him and his cheap barracks culture. That's a pain in the ass for me, I have to say. I'm definteily going to force him to cover his workers to make improvements.
HAK built his shrine and is, presumably, the leader in GNP: In the grand scheme of things, that's more important than an annoying city plant
That's a lot of GNP from culture - 8 from oracle, 5 from the shrine, 4 from a holy city, 1 from religion. Well done, HAK, leveraging your traits.
Some micro:
I'm not going to whip in the granary now, mainly because I'll take an extra turn to get back up to size, because I lose the food from the oasis. I think 2 more turns and then the whip.
I'll pay reasonably close attention to the power graph from now on. I wish now that I had met Molach when I first became aware of him, because I'd have a better EP situation.
