I think you had to install some sort of extra pack to get the Japanese names, and when you installed the mod, it overwrote those files. So you needed to install it again. Honestly I keep all my mods in separate directories, the disk space is nothing and you don't have to worry about corruption.
Those two heroes had Heroism on them, which grants 120XP (level 4, Commander), that's why they were so great. It didn't show in their XP total, though. I was kind of relieved when they defeated you. Death klackons bleh. Try one of the races like Orcs and see what's changed. Or take Halflings to see how they play now that they're not the game's "easy mode" any more.

Awesome!
About Klackons, the -4 unrest will allow you to always have max taxes without any unrest, granting a lot more gold than a marketplace could.
Their names (and books) don't match the picture because you didn't start from a fresh install. The "normal wizard pictures" version does not contain those files because they are not different from the original, so overwriting the new picture version will not restore the pictures.
Wow, 2 heroes with agility? That's really bad luck there, heroism makes a big difference on those. Although, the main problem was you didn't defend your fortress with enough units...and had no mana.
I suggest waiting for the release of 0.7 before you start a new game. The diplomacy changes will make a huge impact, and I also fixed some bugs.
Edit : 0.7 is up for download, have fun!
I'm gonna take a few days of break from the game because coding all of that was really exhausting.

All right. I can wait.
Always max taxes, I never would have thought to even attempt pushing taxes up that high. Klackons have been substantially altered with all those added buildings.
Tlit wants me to give halflings a go next, so I'll do that, and let the random game generator hand me my spellbooks and retorts. Either next Sunday, or the one after that (whenever the next version is ready).

I think you're safer using dice if you want random stuff, I'm not sure if 3rd party generators are very compatible. And they definitely would not know about the changes to retort costs, restrictions and such. Probably no life+death either.
To me Death felt a bit unstoppable and overpowered when I used it, so I wouldn't mind a video about that, but I only played hard difficulty not extreme. Klackons are powerful but uninteresting, I agree. Halflings are, well... not all that different from original but the advantages they have are a lot less relevant to winning now, food is not such a big deal anymore, unrest is also less of a problem as fantastic units can reduce it, but they are a good race overall still, it's just that these two things are no longer essential to be able to survive anymore.
I'm not going to be mean to ask for Lizarmen after you already used them so much, but they sure need testing the most, no production boosting buildings might be too harsh. I guess I'll do it myself, eventually...need to play charismatic sorcery to test diplomacy first.
Oh, and Death seems to work really well with Halfings, I did that in my last game, Shadow Demons can take a diverse set of neutral cities early and you have no unrest penalties on them.
I also watched your first "worst wizard ever" video, god, I laughed so much on how mean the original game was to people, I mean you had like 2 units and 3 buildings at one point and you still had a negative gold and mana income, jesus.
Anyway 0.7 is up so you can play anytime now.
Maybe you could try Sorcery and charismatic so I don't have to.
...I found that random generator, I guess it's safe but you won't be able to get a lot of possible new options with that, it seems to use original game rules...and the number of picks are wrong too.

lol it's true, it's not fitted for your mod. Not that that would stop me from using it anyway
Since your lizardmen are different I wouldn't mind so much. But Charismatic blue and halflings sound kinda fun, so I'll try that.
That Worst Wizard Ever was a real roller coaster. Up to the very end it was a close game.

Ungh... I had to pull a lot of overtime at work this week, combined with getting sick (which I'm just getting over). I had every intention of making a CoM video for today, but, somehow I did not
If I stay up and make the video/upload it/ect. I will seriously regret it when I get up, because I have a livestream in about 10 hours. And of course, it takes time to set up and test everything.
What I'm saying is, I don't have a CoM video today, and I'm very sorry I will make up for it by later in the week if at all humanly possible. Thank you for your patience.

No problem, get well soon!
Meanwhile I can get rid of the remaining diplomacy bugs, they keep crawling out at a rate of ~5/day...

It'll be weird having functional diplomacy in MoM.
