Defeated wizard showing up in astrologer

I noticed a wizard who is not in the game anymore is shown in the astrologer.
I vaguely remember this happening in the original game too.
Anyone encountered this bug?
The fortress is still marked inactive and the wizard is not casting spell of return.

Could it be a display only problem with F4 and F5 or is it some deeper problem?

Finished the game and the "ghost" wizard was missing from the defeated wizards list too. So it's not just a display bug, something, somehow restored an already gone wizard. Problem : as far as I know the game only keeps track of defeated wizards by their fortress status (not active) and current spell cast (not spell of return)...but based on this there must be another "wizard eliminated from game" variable somewhere.

Does his flag still appear on the F2 map? That should go as well when he is defeated.

Yes, F2,F4,F5 all of them.
Another wizard I defeated meanwhile is properly gone. This looks like a bug for sure, question is, where is this variable, gotta find it.

Well I found the variable, it was even in tweaker. Now let's see where it is being modified. Hmm nothing looks wrong.
Something else must be writing to the wrong place due to index-out-of-range or idk. It's directly after spells so if I had to make a guess, spell array indexing bug somewhere...
