Actually it's x0.75 not x0.5 because GK give x1.5 hammers not x2. And 0.75 x 12 = 8

Oh, right. I always tend to forget how multipliers affect on overflow hammers. I had though the amount is multiplied by the bonushammer multiplier percentage from the civic (here 0.5) but instead it is divided with the total amount of hammer multiplier (here 1.5), making 12÷1.5=8. To transfer this to multiplication the amount of overflowhammers is multiplied by 2/3 ~ 0.67, not 0.75 as you suggested. 0.75 × 12 is certainly 9 not 8 ![neenerneener neenerneener](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/neenerneener.gif) .

So the barbs decided to take a standstill...
While Dave's settling party is on their way.
Probably going to settle on that tile. Rare to see Dave with only one warrior escorting his settler.
I went back to check some of my early settling plans and I noticed some of them were pretty dumb. I certainly don't want to settle too close to Dave, that's just spark tension - and that's what I'm trying to avoid. Instead I'll probably settle along the coast in west. With Fishing and monument that city could be very good, and having that plain forest hill should help me to get fast WB out. You can also see some other city sites here that I'll consider good at the moment. Probably grabbing the Wheat/shared Corn spot first (NE), then Fish/Wheat/Clam.

Actually now that I think of it that western Fish/Clam site should definitely move 1W to get both Fish and Clam in the 1st ring + then the city will grab 2 additional hills.
On T44 I got an useful event.
I got 39g.
The barb situation is still a bit annoying, I probably should take a coinflip battle with one of my new warriors in hope of getting a Shock warrior to deal with the barbs. I am currently running very low on food due to starving my cap (no pop reduction obviously, that'd be dumb), and running a sage and getting warriors out quickly. Next turn that should change when I'll start on 2nd settler. Mining is to come in 2 turns, depending on the Copper location my settling plans could change a lot.

T45. The western warrior stepped on farm so I had to take this.
And I barely won for 5 xp.
There are more barbs coming, 2 warriors inside my borders + 2 goblins approaching from east. I'm probably trying to get some xp on my warriors with those goblins. No reason to attack warriors, unless I have to, before I can promote to Shock at least.
Also, can anyone explain the weird thing in the two pictures below. I adjusted my tiles two ways, both say 25 hammers, but look at the turns it takes to finish the settler.
I have 5 overflowhammers from previous build and am running GK, still, I don't see how those can be different. It could be because technically the above should be 3f + 22.5 hammers, but that doesn't make any sense because the game rounds decimals down before counting.
And no; I didn't actually choose either of these before hitting enter, but I'm just curious.
EDIT: Nvm, I figured this out myself. After the overflow hammers go away the above is 3f+15h and the below is 4f + 13h ![Doh Doh](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/sasmilies/doh.gif) . The overflow hammers confused me, yet again!

After finshing T46 the copper was revealed in the east (notice the rotation by 90 degrees).
Looks like I have to alter the settling plans, 3rd city definitely wants a copper in its 1st ring. The flashed tile seems like a good spot, Cow, shared Corn and Copper. Also the spot is on very good defensive spot considering barbarians. Then I could settle the Wheat later, maybe 1SW of the Clam shown in the pic.
But hey, that's not the only Copper nearby. There's another one in the west ![nod nod](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/nod.gif) .
This time the spot is perfect, no need for altering the dotmap. Although I had plans of moving that spot 1W. Scratch that. Capital should pop its 4th ring soon to bring that Copper available right away, which is going to help to get monument faster in this city. I'm still debating a little whether or not I should take this site before the other, but I have already roaded towards the other some so probably not.
Also, Dave has Copper in the 1st ring of his 2nd city.
EDIT: The border pop of capital is 18 turns from now, so definitely could work better with 4th city going west.

So Dave went Crafting -> Mining relatively early too. Well... I guess it's not that early, it's almost T50.
Now, please just leave me alone with the PZs for the next 50 turns, okay?
I'm researching AH to find horses (and potentially alter my dotmap), but also for the Cows/Pigs later. Next probably Education and Fishing are my goals (the order TBD). I wasn't going to be bothered with Drama in this game but with the GNP lead that could be doable actually... Though, Mardoc might be thinking the same. I think cottage economy might work with this map pretty well; the map is not that lush regarding food so Aristocracy is not that superior here (like it was in '43).
Demos T49.
Jale is keeping up his good early play, #1 in both Mfg and Food. Also the only one with 3 cities. I'm pretty much average in all categories except GNP. I have now 2 warriors with over 5 xp that can take Shock.

T50 Jale got Cartocraphy.
And a turn later he switched to it. I'm probably going Cartocraphy after my 4th/5th city so thanks Jale, now I can get the KTB.
Molach also has 3 cities now. His traits have switchd out a few times but he has stayed in EXP for a while, good for him.
EoT 50 horses spawned, but not within immediate reach, I don't think I'll settle south for a while. Well, at least I can get the pasture on the cows. Fishing next.
T51 opened with another money event. I got 33g, this helps me to keep researching at 100% science again. Barbs are being pain again, there's 2 goblin inside my borders (not a biggie) but two warriors + C2 bear around my 3rd city spot. I'm hoping for that bear to go to other direction and not delay my settling plans.
Settler finished EoT, cap is going to start another one immediately.

T52.
Barbarians are so annoying. Now if that bear will move NW I'll be pretty pissed.
Demos.
Jale is up to 4 cities while I'm struggling to get to 3 ![shakehead shakehead](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/shakehead.gif) .
