It says it's ok in the first post of this thread.

Not taking a position on anything with this question, but is this what your support for allowing "arcane signaling" is?

Quote:You will be free to offer whatever sort of trade possible in the trade window you want, whether you mean for it to be real or symbolic is your prerogative. However, you accept the consequences if the other player accepts something you meant as symbolic. Since deciding what counts as a 'real' trade or not is a very fuzzy area to judge, banning unit trades (not in the window anyways) and city trades (now impossible to select into a trade offer) eliminates some of the most swingy options. Players can attempt to collude with the remaining options, again at their own risk of trades actually going through.

Edit: Ninja'd, reply in next post.

Anyway I was put on the spot where I had to accept or decline the offer before I could pause and ask about it. What I could dig up from our setup thread only had an incomplete vote.

Reload is fine by me. I don't mind not having the city, it wasn't really a good deal for me, I just accepted it for the fun factor of it :P

That is fucking bullshit. You knew it wouldn't be allowed when you accepted, you simply wanted to have the extra information to see if you cause some havoc with it, even though you knew this would probably delay the game an entire extra day.

I sent a PM to Krill/Xenu about this, maybe one of them can act as an admin, IDK.

I could only find a vote that never passed so I wasn't sure if it was legal or not. And yes, I thought you were doing it as arcane signaling, and I hate that cryptic shit so I thought it'd be funny to accept the deal to knock at the people who do that crap. My warrior was only there to clear fog to get trade routes to you, I never had any aggressive intentions in the first place.

To be frank it's insulting to hear demands to not only reload to give the city back, which I was fine with, but also demands for me to delete a unit when you also broke a rule by making the trade in the first place. Yes you broke it because you didn't remember that it was a rule we decided on, but that doesn't mean you didn't break it. Honestly I'm pretty OK with dropping this game and going back to casual games where I can enjoy Civ without needless drama.

You already had a trade connection and I have a negative Import-Export, meaning you're getting routes. I get nothing from the routes, if you didn't realize, I was just going out of my way to be nice to you with them. If you just wanted to "knock me for doing AI signalling" (how does this even make sense) why didn't you just take a screenshot of the deal, posted it in your fucking thread, and then call on one of the big crew who like to wag their finger at me whenever I step out of line? They're all over the place.

Good fucking riddance with your "needless drama" - you're the one causing it all in the first place! What kind of stupid threat is this?

In case people are confused here's the PM I received:

GermanJoey Wrote:Hi Krill, Xenu,

First of all, we need a reload in PB29 to Jowy's login save. I offered him an AI-diplo deal involving a city trade and he accepted. Based on his post in the tech thread, he obviously knew it wasn't a real offer, and he also knew that cities couldn't trade hands via deals. However, he accepted anyways just to be "funny," even though he knew this would cause a reload (and also delay the game an entire extra day due to his tiny play window) and therefore gained a lot of information that he otherwise shouldn't have had.

Considering this whole fiasco is about the aggressive behavior of his wandering warrior, he clearly wants to know if he can cause some havoc with it. I demand that he be forced to delete it in compensation for the information he unfairly gained.

Thanks,
Joey

Which all the allegations are false btw.

Way to bring all this into the tech thread, by the way! Good job! Let's keep doing direct public diplo even though your supposed problem with me was my attempt to do "illegal" vague AI-diplo!

There was no need for any of this bickering and lying and politicking. Could have just cleared things up like adults, had the reload done and moved on with our lives. As far as I'm aware, it was you who first made the offer, it was you who first broke the rules, and I handled the situation as well as anyone could have. There's no way I will give into demands to start deleting my units due to a situation caused by you, nor will I have the patience to listen to your attitude much longer.
