I'm totally fine with your other responses, but this sentence of yours might be worth a discussion.
I believe we're on fairly contradicting courses on this one.
A Golden Age increase gpp-production by 100% (50% in NE-city).
It doesn't affect food production. It doesn't affect whip-production. It affects hammer production, but most of that will come from mines -> increases of 25-33% (in the age of levees or on maps with more plains tiles this could be higher). Finally it also affects commerce. I guess a typical commerce tile of ours would be a riverside hamlet? So a 33% increase in commerce.
Yes, we do have some tiles that will get both a hammer and a commerce bonus, but it's not a huge part of total worked tiles.
So, while we can have certain other objectives that are worth pursuing in a Golden Age, I see the most efficient use of a GA in a long term perspective to be to produce the Great People that we would produce anyhow.

By the way, on a totally different matter I got a letter earlier today from a citizen of Pulkkila, thought you might want to see it as well.
Dearest rulers,
I, your humble servant Göran Magnus Sprengtporten, wants to address an issue on the lips of everyone in Pulkkila.
We are a simple people here in the north. We tend our pigsties, we gather clams from the sea and pay our taxes as best we can.
Being on the border to Russia it is with alarm that we have followed their mobilization and hostile intentions. We know that should an attack occur, our wives, sons and daughters would be the first to lose homes and honour.
For that reason we’ve endured the hardships you’ve put us through. Sacrificing ever more of our own folk to produce axes and spears, catapults and horse archers. We have endured, so that when the Russians show their ugly faces we’ll be able to fight back and burn their villages instead!
It is therefore with uttermost despair that we’ve noticed all units leaving for the south! The enemy is here!
Left in Pulkkila we have one company of spearmen.
One!
As faithful servants of the realm we plead that you send us reinforcements with the speed of a hawks flight.
We have heard rumors that you favor the capital over all else and would give naught for the provinces. So far we’ve treated these rumors as nothing but disgruntled envy, but should nothing happen I don’t know for how much longer you can count on our continued support.
In hope that you, our wise rulers, will see to this matter immediately,
//GMS
Annoying when the peasants don’t know their place wouldn’t you say?
I guess we should make an example of that Sprengtporten villain and put his head on a pike?
And probably double-whip that horse archer next turn in Pulkkila so the other citizens don’t get any ideas?
He does have one point though, we actually don’t have any whip-unhappiness in the capital, perhaps it’s time we attend to that oversight soon?
Quote:I realy dont like starwing and working scientist in Ga as i like more working tiles and having infra or units done.
