Some general toughts and metagame(btw who got this name?).
lets start with neighbours:
REM
layed a very risky game but he got a huge reward(mids and getting land from comodore which for sure improved it) and more than that ,he has Elkad near him wich is a mediocre player at most(no offence here I am mediocre at many things) so he has good prospects of killing elkad as well.Our borders is very light on military and I intend to keep like that(if Tao agrees of course) so he is major player in the area and in the game .
Serdoa, oh here are many to say,they didnt wanted OB for 4 gold althought we researched alpha and if someone would have reserched before me and ofere the trade i would had accepted right away.But there is more than that they started just a small war with CH, and theyr pop is somewere like ours if not a litle smalller but still they are ahead in food, and even they setled very slow compared with us they kept us in food,there is just one conclusion to this theyr land is very lush(and what i seen till now confirms this bigtime) and tthey dont seem in a hurry to get units and that makes me think they still have room to setle,so yeah a very strong position for them.Luckily i might say they didnt played what they got at full potential and becasue of that we still have a chanse to compete.
So to our north we have a very strong neighbour, our est ve have one with a very good land a good leader and some capable player.Looks like our decision tao was the best which we could have take otherwise we would had 12 cities and some of the neighbours would have 20 and will see how many serdoa gets and we would had stayed small.
Our south neighbour is about to change from DZ to CH which has just 8 cities , and 1-2 of them just planted so he is somehow in dz situtation before war.Will see how the war between serdoa and ch goes and if there is oportunity to chime in.
So from neigbour sitution right now sitution is bad, but might be oportunities.
Overal situation : we have a krill(must be him with 280 food) and i hope is not him too with the highest production with over 20 cities(stoped counting t not get depresed) and gavagai which ate very fast some tasty Grimace.So from my perspective right now (i dont have the info which lurker have) the top five civ would be:
KRILL
Gavagai
Serdoa
Rem
TAOtao
