Turn 109, In Which AT Ponders Changing His Target
I took the last easy city from Adrien:
I lost a sword and a keshik doing so, killing a spear and 2 axes. Or maybe I lost two Keshiks and a sword. I thought about killing the city completely, since I don't get anything from it, but decided it makes a nice forward base against Molach, so I kept it.
I don't remember how much I got from the other two cities - 130 from the one and something like 70 from the other. Conquest gold is nice
Speaking of Molach, he's adding an odd garrison to the former unboiled egg:
That's pretty much chum to Keshiks - I figure a stack of keshiks will lose 2, maybe 3. 1 to the axes and 1 or 2 to the spear, and all the rest will be run over.
I'm debating making that my next target - Unboiled Egg and Molach's South.
Adrien's easy targets are basically done now - this is the situation:
In summary: I have Adrien's 3 northern cities and an axe in each of the border ones, along with a total of 15 Keshiks that are various amounts of hurt, but I have a super medic to heal them.
He has 3 spears in a place where they reach a stack of keshil's wherever they go, and he's presumably adding more forces to his cap.
I could take Seymour, but I'd lose a bunch of Keshiks doing so. And that set of spears (note that the chariot is Krills) will badly hurt a stack of keshiks. I could move an axe out and get some protection in the flat, but still - it's likely to be a lot of losses for a city I might not be able to keep too well.
I'm debating asking for peace after next turn (I am 58/60 in GG points, so one more attack) I suspect I can pivot to Molach pretty quickly and take 1 or maybe 2 cities from him in the south.
My tech plan is monarchy, for HR - Huh would like it very much, and having lots of archers there isn't a bad thing in anycase.
In other fronts:
dtay's swords are staying put. Not sure what he's doing - swords aren't a very good anti-invasion unti, though they are better against keshiks's than axes, i guess. In any case, dtay is the one of my neighbors I want to keep peaceful.
barteq's border forces seem to be staying defensive.
My power is pretty high, yet I'm only 4th in the world.

[b] Turn 109, In Which AT Reports Very Lighltly[b]
Not much of interest happened - Adiren offered peace, which I turned down, since I wanted the GG. He had moved another axe into his southern city, so I killed it with a sword (swords are amazing city attackers), thus giving me a GG in Huh? and 4 points to the next one. Being imp is nice...
He moved his spears out of sight, so I moved a stack of keshik's in covered by an axe. I am guessing he won't attack, but we'll see.
I also offered peace for 10 gpt. I doubt he'll take it, but he might and he might offer it back. I really would like to swtich to moloch for a few turns...
oh - we lost our 2nd player - Donovaon Zoi was conquered.

Turn 110, In Which AT Executes A Pivot to the North East
Perhaps just in time, in fact.
Yikes, Bureau? That's 2 major techs he's up on me (CoL, Civil Service) - I am guessing he's the tech leader now. And a GA.
But I'm much stronger than him and he's looking to build infra.
So, I'm attacking. In 2 turns, in fact.
The plan is attack on 3 dimensions:
Main attack:
Take Unboiled Egg back. I can get 13 attackers on 7 defenders, 3 of which are just chum. Unless this is some form of trap and he has a stack of swords behind the scenes, it's toast.
In the north:
That's 5 units I can dump to hit either his northern most city, the new one, or just take workers and piss him off.
In the south
I can set up to take that coastal city. It's got a spear, but 5 keshiks will take that, even if one of them is hurt.
That's 1-3 cities I can take in 3 turns.

Turn 111, In Which Many 1's Appear, But Few Pictures
Cause frankly, not much to say. Moving units into place - I might end up stealing 5 workers from Molach and taking a city next turn.
Someone teched Theology and Gavagai built ToA.
Not much interesting - barteq is whipping like hell, so I'm diverting some units south.

Turn 112, In Which AT HAS REVENGE!!!!
And, of course, conveniently ignores the fact that he was plotting against Molach before Molach even knew they were neighbors, since clearly all the aggression has been from Molach attacking him...
Molach actually made my life easier by moving the spear out. He has walls - unsure when he got that. It turned out to be important, in that it allowed him to kill some units.
But it didn't help
The capture allows me to get monarchy next turn, which is convenient for me
I lost 4 keshiks and killed 2 axes, 1 spear, 2 chariots, 1 archer and 1 cat - 200 hammers vs 240 hammers. And I captured 2 workers. And my city back, too
So, down by adrien:
Fillercities is toast, unless he has more units around to move in. I might lose several keshik's, but the city is mine, unless he moves units in or is finishing a unit this turn.
The plan to the north was to move in to take No Scouting. I sent a chariot up north to see what to see:
Well, that's not getting taken with 4 Keshiks ;
Plan B:
Capture a worker and set himself to take his city. I might end up burning it, depending - I doubt I can hold both it and Unboiled Egg - he does have several swords hanging around.
Power:
Power graphs.
One worry:
dtay moved his swords around. hopefully, they continue east. If they go south, I'll probably try to get peace with Molach.

How were your Keshiks promoted? I see lots of withdrawals there. Good job.

yeah - I dunno how useful those were. The first two withdrawals were flanking II Keshik's, and the 2nd one I think didn't touch the axe it attacked - the first hit it twice, I think. The third one, against the spear, was CI, I think. I'll grab a screenie and get into more when I report the next turn.

I played the turn last night, but was really tired, so didn't report.
Highlights:
I took two more cities, but then the turn went a little south. Molach has a stack of GW and cats next to Making Enemies. I hit it with a bunch of keshik's, but ran into some bad luck and lost more battles than I probably should have, and then lost a GG axe attacking a cat at 78%.
He doesn't have a chance to take unboiled egg back, but I'm going to lose some more units.
he has a galley hanging out down south, but I think it's a bluff - I don't see any reason why he would have a galley with 2 GW in it, so I'm not going to worry about it. We'll see if that's a mistake...
in other news - I switched to Hereditary Rule, taking the turn of anarchy. dtay switched to HR and Vassalage and Serfdom, so he has feudalism. Also, he kicked off a GA. His swords moved out of sight, though I'm not sure where they went. that's a little worrisome, but I have hopes they are moving east.

Turn 120, In Which AT Catches Everyone Up And Molach Gets Really Pissed At The RNG
Lots has happened, dear reader. Mainly, I took Unboiled Egg and 2 other cities and Molach and I have been killing stacks of each other's units ever since...
We traded the southern coastal one a couple of times and he's taken it back, for good.
Last turn, I dumped 3 Keshik's in range of his 2 gold city, Late 2nd City. He killed two of them with spears, but I ended up with this:
(I have a sentry keshik giving me visibility - this Keshik doesn't have x-ray vision)
that's 17% change - slightly wounded Keshik vs. unpromoted archer behind walls - it HAS a promotion, but he chose not to take it, for some reason.
This is a low-odds attack, but it's potentially devastating - he loses his 2nd city and 2 gold. I can't hold it, but that's ok - I make new settlers cheap.
So, I take the shot:
And I take it!!
This is how far behind I am - he's been able to build both a forge and a courthouse in this city, plus he has calendar AND Civil Service.
dtay is setting up to attack someone.

The current scene:
This is how my forces set up. Molach has some more forces down south - he's currently heavily invested in spears, which is ok with me.
I don't see this ending well for either of us, but I also don't see a lot of choice. If I wait, he'll run over me - he's up calendar, Metal Working and Civil Service on me and will presumably get longbows soon and I can't handle long bows. And I don't see him making peace after I killed his city.
In summary, I have:
7 Keshiks
4 Swords ( 1 GG)
4 Cats
1 axe
3 arches
1 GG chariot
1 keshik about to die.
Up in the north part. Also, Making Enemies is producign walls next turn->spear and Unboiled Egg will produce a spear in a couple of turns. He's got a stack with about 6 HA in whatever city that is nearest Making Enemies and a lot of spears down south. Dunno about other cities.
On the other hand, I expect dtay to jump in on one side or the other soon - if it's me, I'm dead soon. If it's molach, I'm dead later
barteq has CoL and is sac altar whipping like hell.
