I think they are a classical age power from somewhere around the Mediterranean, as might appear in games about civilizations around the Mediterranean. I believe Scythian composite bows were made of horn, but I'm not 100%, nor would I be sure that's what Bacchus pointed to even if so.

Cool, glad Commodore is informed. For the third one it seems we should look for a word that distinguishes them from Mongols. Maybe center does that?

OK, glad not everyone shares my ignorance. Guesses for the third word seem pretty strained so far; maybe we should pass after two?
You can always guess one or two words and see what they flip as before moving on, don't feel like you have to lock in everything at once. Since technically when you guess words are resolved one at a time anyways.
