Vinaigrette 2:

1. mostly Oil
2. purchased in a Glass bottle
3. served in a fancy Hotel restaurant
4. flavored with Lemon?

Oil is the only obvious one for me; I'm hoping someone else has a good idea for #2.

Does that mean it's GLASS?

Re: passing when you have a 50/50 - I don't think it's a good idea generally because you then have to guess the right one on the next turn if you need to win that turn. At the start of the game passing can sometimes be a good move, but if we think reds can win in two turns we need to finish next turn whip. It's moot now though as reds are up.

If Red get both of their two correct, then we pretty much have to win on our next clue...

So we have one word associated with FAIRYTALE and one word associated with PHISHING plus whatever our new clue is. This is going to be tough.

I have now been wondering if EAGLE was a good clue for fairytale? It might not fit the theme the best, but if you were to band UNICORN and DWARF together with one other word, which fits best? EAGLE stands out for me, in that context. Course that could be the wrong context haha.

As for PHISHING, either AMAZON or MASS seem good. Again, my preference is MASS but we will see.

EDIT: I have thought about it more and I no longer like EAGLE. I think I prefer GLASS again.

Hmm, so if we are likely to go for GLASS and MASS by default then Brick can easily communicate whether we are correct or not by how many words he clues for. If we're right on those two then he can just clue for the last item and we can clean up. If we're wrong, then he can rack his brains for a word that fits the last clue plus whichever one we got wrong. This game is driving me insane!

Vinaigrette seems designed to point us towards oil and lemon with as few distractions as possible. I'm happy to point to those two. Good clue, indeed.
If you know what I mean.

If lemon is wrong then I think we go glass next but I agree on pointing at oil and lemon

I don't think you're supposed to suggest a plan to your Spymaster like that, especially confirming your suspicions by signalling differently.

Worth discussing if this is the spirit of the rules after the game, but I don't see any broken rule by the letter. I'm confident Brick's clue is kosher.

I apologise if I broke the rules, it was certainly not my intention!

I had never even heard of this game before reading it on these forums.

As for this clue, I think it points to CHOCOLATE being the last word. I think it also confirms MASS as the correct guess for the "Phishing" clue. Since neither of these tie to "Fairytale" in anyway I can figure out, it's then down to our final guess on this clue. In which case, I think GLASS is our best bet. Thoughts?
