I have re-read my previous message and I think I have come across as being more nefarious than intended. I did not mean he can change the number at the end of the word to confirm or deny how many were correct. In fact, I don't think that would work as it would leave us short on guesses.
Rather, I meant that if we were in the right area with our previous guesses (i.e. GLASS/MASS) then his clue would only need to refer to one item. I.e. If his clue was "Candy", then the only word this alludes to is CHOCOLATE. Brick therefore must be pretty confident we'd pick the right options with the others. If we were way off base, then he perhaps needs to try and provide some insight into these and re-clue them. In this case, "Fatso" to me hints at both CHOCOLATE and MASS which I take to mean he thinks we're more likely to be led astray by AMAZON over MASS and wants to confirm that one also. Since I can't see either GLASS or EAGLE inferred in the clue, then my assumption is that either he trusts us to get this one by ourselves or he simply could not think of a clue to tie the three together.

I think HOOK was probably the other fairy tale word.
Chocolate and mass seems obvious. Perhaps Eagle, since it's the symbol of USA and americans are stereotipically described as fat people.

I agree on CHOCOLATE and MASS. After that I don't see how any of our remaining possibilities from Fairytale (GLASS, LAP, EAGLE) fit with it, so Ichabod's theory that Brick meant HOOK and we got it in the Phishing clue could be right. If that's true then we're after one of:
- PASTE - stuff you eat to make you fat?
- VAN - thing you drive that makes you fat?
- CELL - fat cells are a thing
- LAP - are Laplanders generally fat? (Santa!)
- HOTEL - mostly full of fatties? (probably not)
- MODEL - usually not fat
- EAGLE - no link I can think of (Edit: Its the USA national bird and Americans are fat...)
- GLASS - no link I can think of
- SPRING - no link I can think of
- AMAZON - no link I can think of

MODEL could be? It's the opposite of a Fatso?
I think the EAGLE theory is a bit too convoluted. I think we have two avenues open to us:
1. We assume HOOK was the remaining fairy tale clue and therefore fatso is pointing to another one of these words.
2. HOOK was not the Fairytale clue and therefore one clue could be fairytale related and two could be fatso related.
This might be solveable with a rules clarification. If the clue is "fatso 3", as given here, must there be three intended words that this word is points to? Say we had 5 words left to guess to win, could the spymaster have theoretically given the clue "fatso 5" in order to enable us to have enough guesses to clear up even though 2 of the words have nothing to do with fatso?

I don't see any way to fairly give any clarification, since Brick is both the most familiar with the rules and isn't allowed to explain what he meant by his clue.
But you can reread the rules and see if there's anything that seems to be relevant to your question: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=7952

Well the example from the rules was:
3. The number you say after your clue can't be used as a clue.
(e.g. CITRUS 8 is not a valid clue for LEMON and OCTOPUS.)
Also the number doesn't dictate how many guesses you get. I dunno if that makes it clear, but I think it's a safe-ish bet that we're after three words that fit with Fatso.
Oh, and sorry for missing your EAGLE suggestion Ichabod - do you think Brick hates Americans enough to clue that?

Ok, so three words associated with fatso.
I think we should rule out CELL. If it was CELL, surely the clue would have just been "fat". Fatso just seems to make it more about someone or something in my opinion. That leaves us with two tenuous theories of MODEL (ironic?) or EAGLE (American link?). I don't particularly like either of them!

Maybe LAP as mentioned about Santa? Santa is fat and kids sit in Santa's LAP. I know I'm clutching at straws.

I thought we were limited to N+1 guesses?
If you know what I mean.
