Sorry about that last clue! It was indeed Cell. I was waffling between aquarium and diatom: 2. Would that have worked? Obviously microscope would have been even better but I didn't think of it.

Anyway, I'll be glad to turn over the reins to DaveV...I suppose we can start whenever Commodore has our new grid made up.

So, americans aren't fatsos after all? contemplate

Yo, BRick, what did you think when I suggested that? lol

By the way, what was the final fairytale word? Lap or Hook?

Sending this to DaveV and whom?

My clues:

Fairytale 3: Intending to get Dwarf, Unicorn, and Hook.

Unicorns are stuff of fairytales, Snow White and her Dwarves, and Hook from Peter Pan. King was an acceptable failure, though I deemed it less likely to be guessed since kings are never the main characters in fairytales.
Alice comes to mind first as 'In Wonderland', and I've never actually seen or read Sleeping Beauty (and even so it's a spindle not a needle). But it really could have been a much better clue. I just wish I had thought of my 2nd clue to lead off with.

Phishing 4: Intending to get Net, Worm, Hook, and Mass.
Net Worm and Hook are obvious as guessed, and I felt like Mass would be too, with Amazon as the only potential failure.

Fatso 3: Intending to get Chocolate, Mass, and Lap.
A big reason I went with 'Fatso' instead of just 'Fat' or 'Obese' was to try and personify it a bit, since fat persons would have a large lap. And I completely whiffed on thinking of 'belly' as a possible clue.

Claus 1: Finishing up with Lap.

I went with Clause because people had mentioned the words Belly and Santa as good clues for lap already. I don't think that's necessarily a problem, because they were mentioned incidentally and not in a manner of 'if you give the clue belly we will know to guess lap', but I figured I could use Claus just as easily instead, and we could talk after the round about if people thought me giving the clue 'Santa' there would have been fair play or not.

EDIT: Ichabod when you suggested Eagle I almost had a heart attack, because it was the death word. Didn't take any offense though. smile

GG blue team, that was an exciting one! And good job with the clues, Mardoc, we missed it by that much!

All hail our glorious leaders! How about if BRick does round 1 and Khan does round 2? I'm happy to do R3 if Ipecac doesn't want to...

I would say Khan for Blue now, but let him confirm he's good with that.
