I did wonder if there was an easier way to clue those 2, but then I couldn't think of one! lol may not be a good idea for me to be spymaster!

I still don't like Lap as much as the other two though because parades don't always go on a circular route, they often also just do from one place to another.

I rate Soldier slightly higher than March because they are on parade or on a parade ground.

I guess we'll see what El Grillo thinks.

I was thinking Lap because "a parade lap" is a thing.

Hmmm, yeah OK I see what you mean.

That is a decent case for lap, but there is also a very straightforward case for soldier/march: a parade frequently contains soldiers that march. It seems strange that Jkaen would overlook those rather obvious links with his clue. I am tempted to assume that he saw the soldier/march connection but overlooked the possible connection to lap.

In any case, march seems pretty clear. It's a straight synonym for parade. We should point to that, and then maybe pass for now?

I'm with Jowy on this one, there would have to be a better way to clue SOLDIER and MARCH together than Parade. A parade lap occurs in equestrian and auto racing when the participants go around the track before the main event, so it definitely works as an alternative.

Point to MARCH
Point to LAP

Just because there might be a better way, doesn't necessarily mean that Jkaen thought of it. I'm not sure we had consensus enough to point to both of those, but it's done now. noidea

Sorry, woke up and saw that I was holding up the game, felt obliged to get actions in before I left for work.

I am wary of these kinds of arguments, as people will see different pros and cons of various clues, and you're really opening yourself up to confirmation bias when you start reasoning like this. Hopefully it was still a good call...

March is Blue.
Lap is Grey

Mea culpa frown Though to be honest, I wouldn't have easily been convinced otherwise. I'm too used to expecting there to be a good reason if there's a seemingly more direct clue isn't used.
