[SPOILERS] I'm really good at video games!

Yeah, DTG has at least 20 elite Knights and an insane land advantage. Meanwhile nobody is challenging him for it, a situation for which I bear a significant burden of responsibility.

Feel free to toss in the towel at any time, guys. If DTG was behind in tech I could see how Al or Commodore might gain an advantage over him, but he isn't and they won't. For my part, I don't really have any plans besides "build more military and try to complete more essential infra". There are about four more filler cities I'd like to settle, but the maintenance costs means that it's looking pretty economically dubious. As much as I've enjoyed my combo I'd have been far better served doing to a test game or something so that I'd understood just how harsh the costs of expansion would be. The geography has hurt a lot too, I've benefited tactically from the obvious chokepoints, but most of my cities are a fair distance from my capital, even though I don't think I've claimed much of what would have naturally been anyone else's land.

Overexpansion seems to be a running theme in my games as of late. Too much Civ III on the side, maybe smoke

DTG just finished Liberalism and will surely take Nationalism to rush the Taj.

Can we please just all concede now?

lol and now I'm in second place again somehow. Jesus Christ, Al.

Nice in-game name.

The turn after I changed it, DTG included a message with the save saying "No Johns" lolthumbsup

Seriously, I'm having an okay time playing builder here, but can a lurker please check to see if Commodore and Al are ready to concede yet? Commodore's empire is much smaller and more backwards than I had originally supposed (he only recently got Construction and might still lack Code of Laws!) and I just surpassed Al in score again- since my economy is in full revival mode I might actually stay ahead of him this time too. I don't know if we can beat DTG if all of us dogpile him at once at this point, and that's extremely unlikely to happen anyway.

X player(s) are not prepared to concede at this time.

Oh FFS. That has to be Al. I've seen all of Commodore's empire now, and his chances of winning are under 1%.

Alight, thanks for checking.

For the record, I'm still second in score.

DTG has Curassiers now. I've got scouts on our borders, doesn't seem like he's moving units to them yet. He's building Trebs though, so someone's about to get hit. Given that he has huge stacks on his border with Al, I'd reckon it's Sumeria. Considering Commodore's position and my name change, DTG is surely aware that Al is the person blocking a concession, so crushing him will seal the deal.

For my part, my goal is to remain ahead of Al on the scoreboard. It's going well so far!

"Save us, o Wise & Powerful Johns!" cried the Smashers of Final Destination. "Loquacious workers are stealing our jobs!"

"I shall construct a wall.", declared Johns. "It will be competitively balanced and include a precise ratio of strengths to weaknesses to ensure that it has an equal chance of success or failure in any given scenario, assuming no severe discrepencies in skill."

And thus did the people never ask him for anything ever again.
