What is random about either of these attacks? My attack was extremely calculated and I assume Haram has specific motivations for his attack too. Once one masters the mechanical side of Civ4, the game becomes about trying to read, and maneuver around, your opponents mindset and intentions. This is direct cause and effect; if anything, the complete opposite of "karma."
I'm not "using" my wife's pain for anything. How does that even make sense in your head? What the fuck is so broken in your brain for you to even think like that? Jesus christ. When I post in my own lurker thread, I express my feelings and my thoughts, it is that simple.

In game, I offered Haram a 200gpt peace treaty, with the purpose of discerning his motivations. I figure that if he's out for revenge, he will ignore it or counter with a demand from me. If he's trying for some kind of specific motivation, like trying to strategicly set me back in the north so that he's able to conquer wetbandit's island without interference from me, he will make a reoffer of some sorts after he sees how much I whipped and my full withdrawl from Tsargon's land, I think. If that is what it turns out he was after, he is foolish, as if he just wardecced without anything else I would have given him a NAP (a 10T peace treaty) for free. I actually considered trying to NAP him a couple of turns ago, but I was afraid he'd ship a bunch of units down to Tsargonia and raze all those beautiful towns.

Geez yall. I mean GJ is a powder keg with a foul mouth but that's no reason to come in here and crap on him when he's down. That's just low.

Haram spent at least one Great General on this attack, by the way, possibly two. The first was to get a Galleons/Frigate/Privateer stack up to Nav1; the possibly-second was to get a named C3 Knight, which attacked my scout exploring wetbandit's part of the island, although this may be a second GG, I'm not sure. 1 GG spread 4 ways could give him a C3 Knight and 3 Nav 2 ships, but I know he has at least 2 GGs, one from his earlier war with Dreylin, but now this one two, born T152:
I didn't notice him getting wharves until just very recently, so I don't think he would be able to get that many quay+theocracy ships.
He got this one during peacetime, and it took me forever to figure out where it came from. The answer, I think, is that he used a Privateer to push himself over the edge by using a Privateer to attack a scouting ship of either Dreylin's, Fenntbandit's, or TBS's.
Haram also got a buddhist cathedral and ran caste artists to push this city to 4th ring culture, flipping this dye tile:
Chinook had 3rd ring borders long before Dal Bootha or whatever it's called, so it ate this tile all the way from something like 85%-mine down to flipping.
I am saving gold for mass upgrades (still 1300gpt after an insane amount of whips and lost trade routes, so upgrades are good for me), but after that I will get Nationalism and revolt in a non-GA to Nationhood + Theocracy if I still am at war with Haram at that time.

We have tried everything in the book over the last few years, but the only thing that's helped were a pair of medicines that unfortunately she couldn't take while pregnant or now while breastfeeding. Well, she can take the one, but if she does she can't breastfeed for 24 hours... she pumps and freezes extra milk for exactly this purpose but... well, even though she doesn't care for video games much, lets just say that if she ever played a final fantasy game, she'd have a full stock of elixers at the end. She refuses to ever allow me to heat it up. So, instead she takes percocets, which dull the pain somewhat and are allowable for breastfeeding, but then she's not allowed to hold the baby... so, what to do? let's just say, its a hell of an experience.

A bit offtopic but: She refuses you to ever heat up the pumped milk? Why's that? My wife always appreciated all the help I could give to her (and the baby), be that heating up the milk or whatever it was.

Just don't heat up the milk directly, put it in a bottle and put that bottle in a bowl of warm water; takes longer to heat up but much less risk of overheating it.
