Ah, I remembered; people use to give the player who is last in the turn order first pick(or even go 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4) to even up the turn order advantage somewhat(if you both complete a wonder on the same turn, whoever is first in the turn order would get it). I think this primarily applied to BTS though, where the difference between the top few leaders/civs was more pronounced. I guess it could still have an effect with someone picking eg. Inca first here.
