I think of radiation when I hear Emitter, not pollution. CAR makes sense when explained to me, but SCREEN still feels like a more natural association to me.
I have to run.

Carbon dioxide emitters/emissions is a common concept in English. Cars are one of them, and they emit other stuff (carbon monoxide, nitrous oxides, lead compounds (if leaded petrol is used) and other pollutants).

Screens both past and present emit radiation (with all light being a type of radiation) but I do think CAR is more likely.

I think I'm with novice. If the clue had been "emissions", I'd have Car near the top of the list, but "emitter" sends me more in a scientific/technical direction.

Undertaker and Egypt (pyramids) seem clear to me, after that Thief is my best guess. There's a weak case for Dance as well.

Btw, what's a "Ness"? I only know the word as being the name of the main protagonist from Earthbound, but that has to be way too obscure to be its only meaning.
