Demos from T33 after 2nd city was settled (killed the warrior for 3 xp with my Shock warrior).




Btw, I'm still missing a theme for the game, mostly city names, so if any of you lurkers have suggestions I am happy to hear them. Normal vampire theme is a bit used but some words associated with blood/bloody are ones I'm considering at the moment. That'd at least (for what it's worth) match with the subject of this thread.

Whew 2nd turn of the day! Another turn came just a couple hours after I sent the previous one forward!

Scouted some of Dave.




Good thing those are behind a river or they could attack me next turn. Interesting, Dave opened with 2 workers as well - presumably roading toward his 2nd city.

I doubt that because I moved scout through there a while ago (well over 10t ago). And I don't think they move (?) unless they attack an unit or escape from one. So it was unlikely that there would have been one.

I think Giant Spiders will move one or two tiles in rare circumstances on their own, although I'm not certain what triggers the behavior. Perhaps they try to always position themselves in forests?

Hmm... usually you find them in forest but I'm not certain of that they'd move towards them. Spids movements seem to be somewhat mysterious. Maybe there's something in XML?

It won't be in the xml, it'll be deeper. Most temporal things are.

Yeah, I quickly glanced at XML yesterday and didn't find anything related to this.

I moved my scout along Dave's borders. He had a chance to kill my scout but didn't do it, that's quite nice of him . I guess he didn't want to risk losing a warrior while he is clearly setting up his 2nd city. No pics as I'm again on laptop and travelling. Dyes was improved and grew to size 7 - starting settler shortly. That dye also made me #1 in GNP. I think I can get Mining before 3rd city so I can do adjustments in case Copper is somewhere very close.

After Mining I'm thinking I'll either head straight after Aristofarms = Edu -> CoL or then give a run for Drama. I think I'd like to setup those lovely Manors as soon as possible so Edu + CoL might be the way to go. I would probably win Drama if I went there but I don't like grabbing Festivals. I'm not gonna build any Markets when I can build 20h ECs, at least untill very late (if that ever comes).

Bleh, just found plako when zooming out (no contact) and there's Giant Spider right next to me. I guess I was doomed to find one as we talked about them earlier . Good thing I am on Jungled hill, it's 5 vs. 4.5 which ain't quite that bad (best I can hope for) so there's somewhat good chance that my scout survives.

In other news I started settler on T38 and it'll take 8 turns to finish. Should have my 3rd city on T47 or T48.
