Phew. Amazingly, everything went to plan (including Europe).
After an initial look at the words, it seemed really tough for either side to clue more than 2 at once. France - Europe and Mount - Horseshoe on opposite sides were particularly inconvenient. This felt like an advantage for the team going second, as 4 turns will see them home, so I knew I would have to find a 3 from somewhere, assuming everything went smoothly for both sides.
Anyway, the plan was to get some safe words on the board while hoping that Europe or Mount was removed from consideration to make my job a bit easier. Well played pindicator to avoid those, and for keeping the pressure up. I don't think there was anything more you could have done.
Napoleon I saw as France > Revolution > Europe > Eagle >> Chest. Didn't consider Mount. At 4-4 I decided our best hope was to go to 6-5 with one guess deferred to a later round rather than 6-4 with an impossible triple to clue. I was then very concerned when no-one mentioned Eagle, and spent last night trying to think of a 3 clue.
Anyway, thank you very much AdrienIer for thinking of eagles. And very well done to T-hawk in particular for figuring out the logic behind my final clue perfectly. I hope I can read your clues next round half as well as you got mine this time.
