Everyone is being lame and just not going the super ships route. :/

Ah, civics, of course. Thanks!
Though Vassalage seems like a tricky civic to use in this setup -- it's competing with both Nationalism and Bureaucracy. But Brennus is in this game, so we might see some shenanigans along those lines, especially since Vikings get Trading Posts!
Yeah. The thing is though that you don't need to adopt vassalage at the start- just when you want to build your galleons or whatever. So you can spend most of the game in Bureau. Use a GA to make the revolts in & out of vassalage less painful.
Asoka (Spi/Org) of Aztec
Augustus Caesar (Ind/Imp) of Rome Boudica (Agg/Chm) of Russia Brennus (Chm/Spi) of the Vikings Darius (Fin/Org) of the Dutch Fredrick (Phi/Org) of the Holy Roman Empire Gandhi (Phi/Spi) of the Khmer Genghis Khan (Imp/Agg) of the USA Hammurabi (Agg/Org) of England Joao (Imp/Exp) of Carthage Julius Caesar (Imp/Org) of Japan Lincoln (Chm/Phi) of the Mongols Montezuma (Agg/Spi) of Germany Peter (Exp/Phi) of India Blue were picked, red were not. Any big hits, misses?
Brennus of the Vikings has got to be a miss. Genghis seemed nice too.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
Now that the picks have gone out, care to share any insight into how the leader/civ slate of options was created, or how you expected it to shake out?
Woah, no Hammurabi of England. I haven't read through everyone's threads yet, maybe the starting Machine Gun spooked them? IIRC he's the main reason you added it.
I don't think it was that, as much as people were just thinking early warfare isn't worth it period. Except Pindicator.
