Not rare, just slow. Since I'm now working an hour from home, I don't get home until late. Which I think puts me close to on the same schedule as Xenu. As for why I didn't do it for you yesterday....well, I simply forgot after having seen the first notification late at night the prior night. :P

Unfortunately it seems like all the people with server access are gainfully employed at the moment, which cuts into response time for reloads but I imagine helps immensely with paying the bills. It doesn't help that my work network has tight security restrictions so remote access software won't fly. Sorry for the delay. Curse the economic upturn! Wasn't needed anyway though
Sorry guys, it wasn't my intent to be a dick here I'm good at being unintentional dick, however, won't deny that. Still, I wonder: is it possible to make server access more spread out? I understand that giving everyone an option to reload a misclick or a bad combat roll may not be a good idea but we don't need to go that far. Something like 10 trusted forum patrons with server access would be enough for near-instantaneous reloads, I think. We may put access info into a forum thread with restricted access, for example. Does access to server imply access to some other, not civ-related info or are there any other problems I'm not aware of?
It's Caledorn's server so it's up to him to decide who gets access. That has pretty much been the criteria so far as I understand it. That said, we have five people with access now, which seems like it should usually be sufficient to cover reloads relatively quickly. The current roster is:
Caledorn Grimace HitAnyKey BRickAstley spacetyrantxenu I know we had some recent delays but I'm guessing that has a lot to do with HAK being less available because he had been doing a lot of the reload work lately (thanks!). I know my work hours are more constraining than they used to be as well, as I mentioned a few posts ago. So maybe we could use one or two more people to help process reloads. If so (and again it would be entirely at Caledorn's discretion to choose and approve) I could see a use in adding one or two people who are available at different times of day from most of the existing group. That would likely mean people living in Europe/Asia time zones, assuming daytime working hours, since everyone one the list other than Cal lives in the US and as far as I know we all work during the day. I'll send Caledorn an email and ask for his thoughts on this. Looks like we're paused and just waiting for TheWannabe to play. Anyone seen him around?
On the admin side I think Cal is happy for volunteers to help out - so long as they have a basic technical competency. I'd put myself forward but I don't have much spare time at the moment .
