[Spoilers] It's time to play the music

(Accidentally opened pindi's thread in new tab, closed and didn't see anything)

OT4E's finished his turn so I logged in to take a look:

On another note our warrior defended against a barb, and pindicator just declared on TBS popcorn

So anyone got tactical suggestions? We probably just need to sit tight until reinforcements arrive, right? If I get time I'll try to analyze ot4e's power graph to see if he's got anything else on the way.

Turn 90

Calendar in (Currency next? Or do we want our cheap courthouses?)

And since I rolled the turn I can confirm
We got it shades

So do we grow into our ivory, spice and incense happiness before launching the first MoM GA?

Our next question is what we do about the neighbours? Freed from research builds we are now building one spear, two vultures and three chariots. I'll post more about that next turn including the settler scouting that I forgot to do this turn. Meanwhile I count three axes and a couple of chariots (archers?) here - am I wrong?

I need to comment on more stuff, but this quickly:
Beautiful stuff with MoM! smile

To everybody not OH:
If there is one specific area of micro where OH is awesome (and also loves doing it) it is 1-turning stuff. Credit to also to others involved in planning!

Keep up the good work and invest the necessary means for getting that barb city! thumbsup

Turn 91

Okay, what now? Do the others just concede? wink

I think Currency is our best next tech because I just chopped a work boat in Kermit instead of putting hammers into the Granary. Note all the military builds except Gonzo which needs the Lighthouse and Moai before we get to our first golden age.

At Ainu the Woody 2 Axe disappeared to be replaced by a Quetcha, so our chariot gets a 50/50 shot now. Settler scouting makes me think there is a city on the marked tile, so perhaps the W2 retreated to defend it? More likely he's SE of the other units ready to skip past if I move off the forest hill to investigate the other city.

Sounds like currency, and all hands on deck for military.

Concede? It's T98 and your cap is only size 4! Noobs! neenerneener

Turn 93

Well played sir.

With extremely low odds of capturing the city before OT4E gets his shot I decided to investigate the other city. I'll probably move the mini-stack to the forest road next turn to threaten the other city, but it might be worth just offering white peace... There is another chariot there to take advantage if he only leaves one unit in the city, but I doubt he'll be that dumb. cry for the capture gold.

It leaves us an interesting border with the ivory city we'll be settling next turn. Anyone want to dotmap this? I'm keen to up the size of our cities right now, but we need lots more settlers! The Vulture from Scooter will capture Harappan in about four turns, then will reinforce the border.

We're up to fourth on soldiers - presumable OT4E is close to first place scared. I just wish we knew where he lives.

Uh, turn 93 and size five. tongue

How do we capture Ainu? Civstats shows ot4e just took it and unless he did anything dumb we're not getting it in the next ten turns. It'll have about seven turns of revolt but anything we send that way will take longer to get there.

Options include:
1. Settle coastal gold/clam city and chop/whip galleys so we're not attacking over the river
2. Construction for cats
3. HBR for withdrawing horchers
4. Iron working for swords and for settling the jungle
5. Move the capital, get Civil Service for bureaucracy and Machinery for Maces
6. Ridiculous numbers of chariots
7. Priesthood for courthouses to get espionage spending up

Any other possibilities?

Swords probably as the terrain makes 2-movers less effective.
